if we play some Defense we can start a winning streak...

T-Mac wins the game on a three pointer, just like last season

    rockets 87 - spurs 85

    Rockets 1,067-Spurs 81

T-Mac continues the pace he was on with the 13 points in 35 seconds over the entire 48 minute game, assuring victory, and giving him an early edge for the scoring title this year. :D

I'm sorry, I had to post this, just love reading about the McMiracle:

    from : http://sports.espn.go.com/nba/preview?gameId=251117024

Houston (3-4) at San Antonio (6-2), 9:30 pm EST

SAN ANTONIO (Ticker) -- Tracy McGrady may need another miracle performance to get the Houston Rockets past the San Antonio Spurs when the teams meet Thursday.

The Rockets have lost 15 straight games here and 23 of the last 27 meetings overall. However, the Spurs always will have the memory of McGrady at his finest in their loss at Houston last December 9.

McGrady finished a 33-point effort with an improbable personal rally, scoring nine points in the final 35 seconds and hitting a game-winning shot to finish an 81-80 victory.

The five-time All-Star returned early from back spasms to help the Rockets win two of the last three games following a three-game losing streak.

He scored 25 points and grabbed eight rebounds in Tuesday's 94-89 victory over Minnesota. Four other Rockets scored in double figures, but their chances Thursday should hinge on McGrady's efforts.

Houston is 3-1 with McGrady in the lineup. He has averaged 27.7 points in the victories but managed just 14 points in the one loss.

San Antonio opened a three-game homestand with a 103-79 rout of Atlanta on Tuesday. Manu Ginobili scored 24 points and Tim Duncan added 23 for the Spurs, who had 22 assists against just nine turnovers and shot 52 percent (44-of-84).

    --------------------------------------------------------------------------------

I don't really agree with all that. Don't think we are going to need another Mircale. Besides that, the miracle was in Houston, not San An, and we played them two other times after the Miracle. I just wanted to read about it.

    Anyway, Rox 98
    Spurs 91

just a humch. Parker cools off, Manu doesn't hit, and TD remains in check.

Player prediction: Stro throws a NASTY dunk on Nazr Mohamed, T-Mac and Yao get thiers.....but the W will be lead by DAVID WESLEY and hopefully everyone on the BBS will get off the guys back (I'm prepared to be flamed at anytime now).

    My predictions:
Yao gets at least three bad fouls called playing defense.
Ginobili gets away with at least three offensive fouls.
At least two of these occur on the same play.

I hate the Spurs, not as much as Dallas, but still.

I hope the Rox are ready. Easily the next two games are the biggest challenges so far.

I think our backcount will be outplayed big time, it wouldn't be close.
We will have a chance to beat them when we are in mid-season form though.
    Tonight' Game : 99-83 Spurs
    Game on March 12th : 102-97 Rockets.

TMac's 3s are going to fall tonight.

If his shots fall in the first quarter, then Yao will be in foul trouble. If he shoots poorly the first quarter, he will not be in foul trouble and have an impact in the 4th quarter.

JB will outplay his lilttle brother.

    Rockets win 81:80.

    My equally daring predictions:

They will use an orange colored ball, known as a "basketball" tonight.

The game will be played with a metal ring at each end of the court, through which the players will attempt to throw the "basketball."

Barry isn't playing for the Spurs, neither is Finley. Before the season I predicted the Spurs would lose this game...but the Rockets don't have it all together yet; also, even though there are injuries Tim, Manu, and Tony, for varying reasons are all playing with a chip on their shoulders. SA in a close one, but pull away in last 5 minutes (92-83).

so far due to YAO 's foul trouble, I haven't see any possibility that HOU can beat SPURS.

TMAC is superstar, but he is not god.

This game won't be pretty; games between these two teams never are. The Spurs aren't playing as well as their record would imply, but we're not playing well at all. It's damn near ridiculous to predict a Rockets win tonight, but there's always hope.

    Keys to victory:

    - Keep Parker from penetrating. We must trap on pick and rolls, close lanes, sag off other players, just do whatever it takes to keep Parker away from the rim. The man is just sick right now. He's been working on his jumper but it's still not that nice. Alston is definitely going to need some help.

    - Box out. The Spurs aren't going to shoot a lot of threes, so there won't be a lot of long rebounds. Stop their bigs from getting the offensive ones. Points are at a premium in this game, so don't give them second chances.

    - Drive, drive, drive. Take shots as close to the rim as possible, especially Yao. Keep taking it to them and we'll get calls eventually. We'll need to get their bigs in as much foul trouble as possible if we're to win this game. And if we're more aggressive maybe the foul woes will go against the other team for a change.

    The 2 keys to winning:

    1) Yao stays out of foul trouble
    2) More than one person in the backcourt shoots over 40%.

I predict an ugly game, but a nailbiter:

    Rox 79
    Spurs 74
