How the heck we only went to the line 6 times?

We had 40 freebies the other game, so it cant be because of we are not aggressive.

That BS call on Yao kick ball was the key.

I agree with you that Yao should be used on Duncan in stretches and in the crunch, but it apparently wasn't too much to ask Yao to guard Carlos Boozer all game for 7 games straight and score 25 ppg, when it is easier for Boozer to score on Yao than Duncan.

Correct, all the guards of this league know that they should knock YAO's ball(not ballz) and they won't get the foul, YAO is easily hacked by them AND the refrees.
Hats off to the statement: YAO is the worst officiated player in the league.

Agreed. There were some terrible calls on Yao, and it's a joke that he did not even attempt a single FT.

No worries. If we played with this intensity + T-Mac, this would be domination.

This is what T-Mac's presence means vs Spurs:
    - Reduces Rafer's minutes by half
    - Bowen has to guard him, so there's no one else left to stop Bonzi
    - Oh yeah, and he can score

Yao can guard Duncan and not Boozer because Boozer uses speed to beat Yao.

While Duncan, on the other hand, uses his size to beat Yao, which plays right into Yao's hands.

Maybe that drug is belief,They play like they have since the lakers second half they will win both games. The mavericks are overrated chokers and the suns are too small and too fragile, let the refs blow no whistles like they did tonight and the rockets will win both games simply because they are playing hard right now and they are hungry and them two teams are weak if the rockets play D and step up their physicality like they did tonight.

I dont know about Dallas but I think Houston w/ Adelman offense can beat the Suns the are not that good this year. and we are playing in our house.

Dallas is they fall to sleep we can surpise them

Let me tell you if the game is tie in Houston vs Suns and Adelman put Steve in, the Toyota center will be so loud that Houston can take that energy and rool ove the Suns. But we need Bonzi to got a good game he is the guy that can kill the Suns in the offensive boards.

I completely agree. But every time we play the Jazz we are stuck with the Yao vs. Boozer matchup, which I thought was ironic since you brought up the fact that Yao should be used in stretches and not all the time on Duncan.

The call on YAO's travel and kick ball turned the direction of the game, TWICE!
I really hope YAO can get a T for cursing refs in the face and get fine bills as well as some RESPECT/FEAR

It seems to me that Yao can be taken out of a game by fronting. Sad. Imagine 6' 10'' Oberto giving Yao a hard time. I don't think anybody can do that to Shaq even now!. Yao is soft like a p***y. Several opportunities to take it strong to the basket but he just pass it out again. Yucks!! We lost because of Yao's passive play. Instead of complaining to the refs. he should take matters into his own hands and be more aggressive. We should have won if not for Yao being a non factor in the first half.

The sad part about the fronting of Yao is that we will see even more of that tomorrow. The Suns have been doing that to Yao forever, they even double team Yao off the ball. Without McGrady to keep them honest... they have no reason to take that defense off, and their offense will not bog down unlike the SA Spurs.

We are going to get crushed tomorrow. Yao might get 10 shots up.

False we lost because of poor execution,Yao played hard and showed a lot of agression and passion to win the game, he made two big baskets in crunch time and every time his mediocre guards got him the rock he made things happen. When he defended duncan one on one timmy couldn't get nothing done. We also didn't defend the 3,if we contest those threes we probably win the game.

Even though slightly out of shape, I strongly believed Steve Francis should be given some play time to motivate him and see whether he can contribute. He is vet and should not be playing severely worse than rafer.

I remember Francis and Mobley under JVG produced very stinky defense and contest almost every shot taking. So i am thinking Francis is a better defender than Rafer cuz Rafer can't guard some of these better guards like Terry and Parker just due to his size.

I think TMac would have made the difference tonight (bonzi was 1-9). Scola finally did it up!! and against the Spurs too, that makes it so much better. Thanks again San Antonio!!

in the pictures posted earlier, Steve did not look like he had an additude problem at all. He looked a little chunkier than usual but I think he should get some playing time, our PG play is not adequate. Adleman really should just give him 10 minutes on the court. Rafer playing 40+ minutes is too excessive, just give Steve a chance. Especially now that T-Mac is out, its still early in the season, lets at least get a feel for what he can do out there. Maybe even take a look at Aaron Brooks.
