Sad to say, but I promise you Scola won't be this good as soon as T-mac is back, unless he starts to win trust from T-mac, scola will shoot more desperate shots. Today he got some open jumpers and also spacing in the paint(he got most of his points when YAO is off the court).

apparently, Steve was not playing because coach doesn't like he showed up out of shape.

Enough with that already, the message is sent. let him play.

Yes, Scola played great but it is the guard play that will continue to kill the team through out the season. I don't what Morey can get but I hope he does something because the numbers don't add up to a positive contribution by the guards.

JVG and Adelman are on two ends of the coaching spectrum. one is known for being intense and grumpy all the time, while the other is more carefree and lets his players play, yet they both have one thing in commin, playing rafer. :D

Listen...all you Steven supporters out there. I seriously think Steve's time on the Rox is over. If Adelman didn't play him in this game, he's not gonna play him...EVER. James will continue to force crazy shots, Luther will continue to turn the ball over, and Bonzi will keep up missing layups. But Francis will not play. Understand it. Get it in your head. I love the guy and would love to see him step on the court for the Rox for old times sake, but HE'S DONE. It's over.

Has Bonzi played well away from Houston once this season? Maybe we should use Francis on the road, and Bonzi at home.

This is the spurs at their home. While the result is important, you gotta see the progress, we are preparing for the playoff and try to win the championship. This loss is way better than some of the early narrow wins.

Scola played great but he is a rookie and he will be up and down. It will be a while before he is a consistent contributor. If our guards involve him he will improve faster but i wouldnt hold my breath on that.

Loved Yao in the 4th quarter. The man didnt give up and showed he can hit clutch shots. Sucks the refs just wouldnt give him any calls.

Ok seriously... im getting in the "We want Steve!" bandwagon. The preseason is the preseason. Who cares how well Rafer played when the wins and losses didnt count??? At least give the man a shot. He couldnt possibly play worse than Rafer.

If Alston, James, or Head get injured, then Steve would probably get minutes. I just don't think Adelman wants to use 4 small guards in his rotation.

    My grading

Yao - Off night, and frustrated. But he did come out for the 4th quarter. B
Scola - The reason I really liked this game even if we did lose. Great shooting, and good defense. Hopefully this shooting will continue throughout the season. A+++
Chuck - Didnt really get involved a lot. He did get a few baskets in the 1st quarter though. B
Rafer - Good game in the 1st half. And he did finish his l ups. But he needs to work on his teardrops. He also had gotten 6 assists in the beginning. C+
Battier- Got his shot back, and good defense. B
Head- Head,head,head,head...His last 3, and his indecision at that last shot attempt basically costed us the game. C-
Bonzi-Cold tonight, missed some layups as always.... C

I hear you but do you think any of these guards that you have mentioned will be here when all is said and done?

We couldn't get Yao the damn ball till the end. I don't know whats wrong with RA, and why he won't play Steve. If its one thing Steve can do and that is drive to the basket and kick the ball out or feed Yao in the post. Oh yea my new goal in life is to go find Alston and kill him.

The best 2 things I saw tonight:

    1) Scola. Nuff said...
    2) And Yao's conditioning. This was a FAST paced game for the Rockets. Pushing it down right after a score and Yao has been able to keep pace without a problem.

Wish Bonzi would have shown up.

I don't understand how he thinks Head can guard Manu at the end of a game? RA how many times do you have to see Manu beat Head to figure this out?

I guess the reason Rafer gets minutes over James and Francis is that he keeps the team in their offense. That's the only thing I can think of. His defense was pretty good against Parker, for what it's worth.

No McGrady, Bonzi did nothing, Yao had no impact until late in the fourth, and Mike James thought he could take over...

...we lost by six. That's a great game.

Loved the effort by Battier, Scola (!!), and Rafer tonight. Was good to see MJ shooting better, Head too, but I didn't like they're overall games. Progress, still.

    We can beat this team.

Did you watch the same game like us? Ducan hit like only 3 over YAO and did YAO get any foul defending Duncan?
