Brooks - A - man's got game, one stupid turnover in the 1st quarter. Otherwise, he did his thing.

Scola - B - Not his best game but he's part of our foundation. Our only real low post go to threat.

Budinger - A - He looks like a starting shooting guard. What more can you say?

Hayes - A - He'll be just fine. Great D as usual. And the ability to dribble out the rebound and start the break. Fits in great in the uptempo game. I actually like him catching the ball at the top of the key with the option to pass it or dribble to the rim. He will be very effective for us this season.

Ariza - D - Ugh! My God, can dude take a dribble without tripping over his own feet? Sure hopes he gets better cuz he sure looked lost out there trying to handle. His 3 point shot looked terrible too. He got off a couple easy ones early but after that his whole game looked terrible. Overall, I was not impressed and was depressed after watching him.

Jermaine Taylor - F - Should have been named Jack instead of Jermaine cuz the only thing he knows how to do is throw the ball at the backboard. He is totally clueless. Has no idea how to fit into the offense. All he knows how to do is jack, jack, jack, jack. Totally disrupts the offense. He looks completely lost and doesn't look like he is going to be able to help us any this season. WTH didn't we draft Blair at his slot? Somebody remind me.

Lowry - B - Didn't really see the big improvement in his game. He's just not a scorer. He would be much more effective in an offense with spot up shooters that he could find who spread the floor ala Van Gundy style. He's a decent player. But, I would bet because of his contract status and cap hold coming up this offseason that he becomes a tradable commodity at the deadline.

Landry - C - Looked very good offensively. Looked below average defensively. I don't think he'll every be much of a defender.

    D. Andersen - F - Bwahaha! He looks like a catfish out there and his game is like stink bait. Terrible terrible terrible. Totally clueless on defense and not much better offensively. His jumper has a hitch. He won't be able to defend even the Collins brothers in the paint. He actually runs into fouls. The next time he boxes out on the boards will be the first. There is no way he is going to contribute much more than 1 for 2 or 1 for 3 from the field and 4 fouls and a turnover in about 10 minutes per game. My God we need a big man. We gotta run Dorsey and Pops out there to see what they can give us in the post.

    W. Conroy - Incomplete - Limited minutes. I think he could be and effective replacement for Lowry if Lowry is traded.

    G. Temple - Incomplete - Not an NBA player at this point.

Can somebody explain to me why we didn't draft Dujuan Blair instead of Taylor?

I think Dorsey had that line in the last summer league game.

Trust me, Blair is no Joey Dorsey.

Because we don't need another undersized PF, 6'7", in our team. We already have, Scola, Landry, Hayes and dorsey.

I disagree with your assessments of Lowry, Landry, and Temple. Lowry's shot is clearly improved, he looks faster than he was last year, and the only knock I could find on him was that he couldn't hit his FT's and that his teammates couldn't finish a lot of his passes into the paint. A steady hand and good court vision is exactly what we've been waiting for and he looks to me to be the best choice we have to start when Yao comes back next year. Until then, we need scoring and penetration though so it's gotta be Brooks.

Landry was a monster on the post tonight and showed his potential to be the next Millsap. Hopefully he doesn't make half of the really stupid fouls he committed in this game, but to his credit the last one was a clean block that the refs missed.

Temple got the most minutes of the supposed foursome that are competing for the last spot, and honestly he might be the frontrunner at this point since we don't need PG play with Brooks and Lowry looking set and Pops not even being able to push Cook for garbage time. He's clearly new to the league, but he's got the quickness and length to play some nice D and keep us in games when a SG like Kobe is just torching every other option. Basically, he's a project for whom experience will hammer out a lot of his glaring faults. He'll never be an offensive threat but doesn't have the deer in the headlights look when he brings the ball up the court either (unlike Taylor unfortunately).

Taylor had the really nice tip-in to his credit, but yeah most of the rest of his night was not a sight to behold. Anderson...I don't know what to say. We can play him against some teams, and he's certainly more mobile than Steve Novak was, but yeah for me to even bring up Novak's name should tell you where he's at.

Worrell making a reference to "Stacy's Knee" at the end was pretty classless. Very disappointed -- regardless of his personal opinion, I expect better from him. He just lost a lot of respect from me.

I know everyone caught Bill calling McGrady Stacy but did anyone catch when Bill said Brian Cook was in Chicago in the offseason working out with Tim Grover?

I didn't catch the game in time due to some work I've come across at that moment.Missed it and felt a little bit thrilled that finally the offseason came to an end with this game.

BTW,is there anyone out there could offer a link to watching it?

Youtube.com is not working properly in my region,so I guess I gotta figure another way out. Will R2K upload and put it up on Tracker Info page?

Perhaps you might find the torrent of this game. Try to google "NBA Torrent", and you can find it.

Also, was Tmac at the game? Worrell said he made the trip and practiced shooting prior to the game but the was no video shot of him at the game while they showed Battier a few times.

I was at the game with floor seats. I'll post some pictures tomorrow because I'm really tired right now. Even though it was a pre-season game, it was my first time with floor seats, and it was an AMAZING experience.
