I wonder if Sengun is playing timid because of the injury scare last season. It takes a lot of guys some time to regain their confidence after something like that. You can't go only 80% in this league and play to avoid injuries, you have to commit.

It wasn't just screens, He easily pushed around Wemby down low when they shared the court together. San Antonio struggled to control rebounds when we had a real big in the game or played with physicality. Sengun gets a lot of those tip it at the rim rebounds which are of some value but I wouldn't say he clears out a space to secure a rebound like more traditional bigs do. He is generally tipping things to keep it alive which gets him rebounds but doesn't necessarily give us "control" of a possession. 12 rebounds is good as an indicator of effort, but I saw at least 5 where he touched the ball but didn't actually end up with it.

Those tips are killing his shooting %. He is shooting better from 3 than from 2. Love the effort though.

What's the basis for the prediction?... What future best player in the league had a similar start/trajectory? What's the frame of reference? Whose his player comp for your prediction?

Nah he is gonna be better than AD assuming his health holds up just based on his defense.

Also AD is a perennial MVP candidate not sure what you are smoking talking AD down.

I think its just a slew of big guys where he has traditionally struggled against and Grant Williams who is just a massive load. Oh yeah and Wemby who actually put some muscle.

This is why a guy like Adams is the best Sengun backup and Udoka should have played Adams more.

I'm glad we got the win, and it's nice to see better spacing. However, we are doing something wrong if FVV plays 40 minutes. Mr Stone may need to remind Ime that Reed Sheppard has talent.

FVV logging that many minutes--and walking up the ball up the court-- goes against the athleticism and fiery pressure that we should be putting on other teams. It's not like Fred is a crucial link or that's he's tearing it up from the perimeter.

And please, let's do away with FVV + Reed Sheppard combos! That's asking the other team to drive the ball at our already suspect rim protection. Why not sub out Brooks and FVV for Amen and RS? Let Jalen or Amen bring the ball up, and let's bounce RS off some screens and get some energy in the building. If they help, they risk leaving Jalen open.

Now I know I'm dreaming, but if Amen and Sengun actually set a double screen for RS (which is legal, by the way), the D can't help on a Jalen drive, and who knows? Maybe Jabari gets an easy dunk or a wide-open 3-point look. Or shutter to think, Jabari sets a screen for Jalen out top while the double screen for RS is being set on the other side.

All of a sudden, an offense emerges instead of our current slow-mo pick-n-roll action, in which D gets to dictate where the ball goes.

You're forgetting that Ime only understands a single screen for the ballhandler at the top of the arc with no secondary reads or actions. You're asking WAY to much from him on offense to suggest either 2 screens or an off-ball screen, never mind those things all at the same time. You might as well ask him to suggest players run when they don't have the ball, are you crazy?!

Ime is definitely being waaaay to cautious with Reed. I hate the way he is using him. I hate the midget rotation of FVV/Reed when he tries to use it. I hate that Reed stands in the corner only rather than having initiate the offense. Overall, just hate the way Reed is being used currently. We need a back up PG, stop trying to force Amen into that and instead let Reed play that position and let Amen play the role he played last season when he was absolutely effective in the starting line up.

I'm not sure why Ime has decided to change up several things from last year that didn't need tweaking in my opinion.

Sengun lost his powers while you were gone, Green has taken over as the franchise player...
