Rockets look dead out there. And this time, Steve is NOT on the court.

 

I guess Yao was right, we're not ready yet.

 

yea it looks like he's very ineffective in the high post if a defender is on him.

adelman has to use scola or tmac up there. just put yao in the high post.

guess JVG is right: yao outside of 10 ft, very very average.

 

I don't know if its missed assignments or what, but I swear the spurs have made 3/4 their shots from the top corner of the lane with no defender in sight.

Spurs are getting so many open looks. Rockets are just jacking up one bad shot after another.

Use your freaking brain boys!

 

I don't understand why Luther is in the rotation before Francis , both of them suck at guarding quick pg's but Head gets torcherd guarding bigger guards also.
James can do wverything Head can do better and he likes to shoot so play him at the 2 and bring Francis because he brings penetration to the basket and rebounding.

Spurs are making shots plain and simple,Yao looked good he established early post position.

 

It's ok, we have a new coach and new system they are Champ and keep all the same players and system.

 

let's see if the bench knows how to cut into the lead. we will need that when tmac/yao are on the bench

 

Yao has to give Duncan space because Duncan can drive. Yao can't beat anyone off the dribble, so his defender can just crowd him, and the other guys can bump/stick to the cutters. Then he has to just hand off and set a screen (i.e. HE'S DOING ABSOLUTELY NOTHING).

I knew this was going to happen with Adelman even before Adelman was hired. He needs to make adjustments i.e. PUT YAO IN THE LOW POST.

 

why do their centres/forwards have better outside shooting touch than our guards??

This is the first preaseason game that I've watched and I agree with you so far.

Even though Luther is not hitting he has made some great passes tonight. I was impressed. Unfortunately he never gets assists because they can't make any layups.
