All 4 of those teams are fairly close. I would say Milwaukee is definitely the worst of the 4.

If Valanciunas makes a leap, then Toronto is easily a threat for the playoffs. I think you might be selling them a tad short.

That seems to be a big point of contention for the starting/not starting argument. Some people think his energy and hustle is best coming off the bench because he racks up fouls too quickly. I have noticed some ticky tacky fouls from him tonight, but it all depends on the quality of defense from both, I suppose.

 

We have to cut down on these darn blasted turnovers.

Why can't Houston sport franchises get saavy, crafty coaches? The Texans: Capers and then Kubiak. Rockets: JVG, Adelman(seemed crafty in Sac-town but I am starting to think the real credit should go to Pete Carril for that offensive creativity just like JVG's accolades for being a defensive genius should probably really go to then assistant coach Tom Thibodeau.) and now McHale. Although, thankfully we finally got a smart GM, who has now assembled all of this talent. Now just need the right coach.

 

Seriously, what game are you watching? Lin's been aggressive all night even if his shots aren't falling. He's also creating for teammates, rebounding, and defending. Lastly, it's only the 1st half!!!

I saw at least 3 steals from Lin
If player A deflects the ball, and player B from the same team gains possession of the ball, player A should be accredited with the steal.

he hasn't been agressive on parker, if it were regular season parker scores after he has him beat by 2 steps .
if we went team bev login on lin, he is 12 points/12 asts/10 rebounds per 36 tonight.

 

That is not true. Beverley's foul rate was just fine in his other starts. I actually thought Lin was more foul-proned in the other games than Bev. He's also playing Parker, one of the fastest guards in the league. Expect a few fouls.

 

I feel like Beverley will play better coming off the bench as he can provide spurts of energy, particularly to overturn a tide or provide an instantaneous pressure to the opponent's perimeter players.

Beverley's main strength is aggressive and active defense, he requires a lot of energy and coming off the bench will ensure he will have high energy on both defense and offense.

 

I hear you. But situations like this are where I admire players I hate otherwise, like Kobe. A challenge? Competition? Someone underestimating him? You know it's just going to be white noise that he somehow turns into fuel to succeed. I think that mentality is what separates the elite from the rest (even if it usually makes for an insufferable personality, lol).
