So...how did [Dwight] hurt his back again? Your 2 best bigs have back issues!

Totally disagree. I like these games because it is the only time we can throw out our scrubs and see what kind of potential they have in game situations. We don't need to play our starters every game. Fans know they're unlikely to play, so they don't spend ridiculous amounts of money on preseason tickets.

Otherwise, we would never see Joshua Smith and others. Maybe these guys don't make the team, but they get enough time on the big(ish) stage to prove themselves.

I do think, however, we should shorten the regular season. Perhaps 6 preseason, and 65-72 regular season games.

Berman says the same thing....but were they supposed to?

Did Howard hurt his back? I thought they were keeping him out because of his knee, and really just because there is no point in him playing in the pre season.

Dwight wasn't going to play in the final pre-season game anyways, he will be ready by the 2nd game of the season. Not really much of a surprise

I'm with you. I love the preseason. You get to see a lot of development in a short period. If you don't, they won't see the court in the regular season.

Is there any definitive word on Howard's back? All I know is that he tweaked it when he ramped up his workouts. How bad is it?
