i have no problem with him starting for a full year, and having patience with players, however a significant work needs to be done in practice and training sessions...only then patience with regards to the on court performance can be exercised...

eg if hes not working day and night outside of games on his 3pt shot...the patience is futile and is equal to resignation and carelessness...

i also have no problem with silas not being the great coach, however he then needs to work 2 TIMES HARDER AND 2 TIMES MORE to make up for the lack of his expertise

SHOW ME THE HARDWORK AND DEDICATION and ill be patient with you with regards to results

 

to me its only fun if they are hardworkers...its not fun watchin them lollygaging around and photo sessions all day long... i mean its great if they are having a nice time, good for them! but if their actions say they dont care about the results then i dont know why should i care

his secret is putting his own photo in the avatar pic.. when someone does that people know right off the bat he is wild and wayward character so they dont even bother correcting him...

I dont act like Sengun is finished the **** are you talking about? Now all of a sudden im anti sengun because I said he got into foul trouble. this board is ****ing looney. I said they are rookies. I also said that there is no guarantee that any of them are gonna be stars. And there are future MVPs that completely sucked their first year. Which is well catalouged by now and im tired of repeating myself. WE DONT KNOW WHATS GONNA HAPPEN. You are trying to make it seem like im only defending Jalen and its jalen vs sengun NOOOO. Porter is easily the 2nd best player on this Rockets team.

Sengun is the 3rd.

At this time anyway.

 

I think Gordon is the better player than Porter, he is a better defender, better shooter and scorer. Now, relying on potential its Porter by a mile. When Wednesday comes around we are going to depend on Gordon and Wood to score and let our young back court score gradually. I was upset watching the game Friday but rewatching the game Porter looked better and he missed too many layups. I guess we can trade Porter but we need stability at the point

 

Porter led team in assists.

Rockets only had 15 AST vs. Spurs 30 AST.

EGo is not a PG, he actually complements Porter.

EGo is not only better than Green at this time, but he complements what Rocksts need in starting lineup - physicality, shooting, finishing and defense.

 

Not every man living in Houston (or anywhere) is interested in watching sports. It doesn't mean they're not men anymore. People simply have different hobbies. Nobody is obligated to watch and root for the sports teams for the city they live in. Everyone has the right to decide how they choose to spend their time.

 

Usually theres reason why opps make all of their and you make none of yours.

 

We have no point guard. Just because KPJ has handles and is shorter than the rest doesnt mean he is one… theres one of the better point forwards in the league, dpoy runner up for the taking. I think he would have chip on his shoulder here. I really would love Simmons/JG pairing develop

 

Yeah. I don’t know what game these people were watching. Porter was consistently getting in the lane and getting good shots. He will start finishing better as he gets used to the banging. He is easily our second best player behind Wood and a very good play maker. If anyone can make a shot he is going to average 18 pts 7-8 assists and become much more efficient. HIs one on one defense was excellent and gets better every game. Our team defense is still really bad, especially when Sengun is out of the game. That will take some time and it would be helped if we had a bruiser that could come off the bench when Sengun is not playing.

I thought Green’s defense was also better, still not good but better. He is going to be a monster offensively once his 3 Ptr starts falling. His confidence in going to the hoop grew exponentially in the third quarter. He is going to go to the line a bunch as will KPJ as defenders are going to be reaching as Green blows by them and with Porter’s shiftiness.

We are going to lose a lot of games, but by mid-season I predict we will start to be very competitive. The only think I saw about Porter that I didn’t like was the body language after no calls when he was driving. Several times he moped and did not try to get back into the defense right a way. Being a rookie he is going to have to get used to the refs eating their whistles.

Garuba is still lost on team defense, but the sooner he gets it down the better for our interior defense. You can see in short glimpses what all the excitement was about. G-League is in his near future.
