Josh Smith and Ron Artest was the toughest Rockets player in recent seasons. Josh Smith brought us to Western Conference finals. Artest brought us to 2nd playoffs round. But they all played one year for Rockets, because Morey only gathers soft players.

Harden goes up another level or 2 under a coach like Thibs, Carlisle or Kerr and wins a ring while Morey the fraud goes back to picking undersized PF's in the draft with the 15th pick.
Dwight is definitely a top 5 center and come playoff time he becomes a top 3 center and often the best center come playoffs
There's nothing wrong with Morey's strategy. The problem was thinking he was getting a "most talented player" when he gave Dwight Howard a maximum contract.

Lol we've had a lot worse seasons but damn it sure does feel that way now. First year Harden was the best imo 1st year dwight had the most talent then last year was just gritty basketball. We won a lot of close games but really overachieved. I do think JH and DH are very good but we need more parson, hate to say this Lin type guys. We need more talent period. I like Bev and Ariza but there bench payers. Our big man rotations is one of the worst even if you include dmo who doesn't play for some reason. Capela is a nice young prospect but he's playing way to many minutes and it's hurting our team only thing is Tjones is worse so you have to play him. A Boris Diaw, David west would greatly help this team as would Patrick Patterson or even Marcus Morris. The team 2 years ago was so talented we could have made them good defenders because they were smart high iq players, exactly what the Spurs,GSW have. Bev JH Parsons Jones Howard Asik Lin Brooks Troy Daniels Omri casppi Dmo We would have a lot more wins right now with that roster right now. Not saying that would be good enough to beat SA or GS but damn we wouldn't be 16-19 we would atleast be 22-13 imo maybe even 25-10. Morey botched trying to get 3 stars when he should have tried to cultivate a Allstar caliber player in Parsons who's not a star on another team but maybe could have been borderline on ours. Every big 3 had a Allstar level player they drafted this rockets team does not. Morey has not done as well as we think drafting players.
Dwight sucks. We actually finished 2nd seed last season when he missed half the year and had our best defensive record in the Harden era. He's back to being healthy again and the team suddenly collapses. He hasn't been a great player since 2011 where he got knocked out in the 1st round by Josh Smith and the Hawks.
Yeah, there are heart bypass patients that missed less time than Dwight.So, Dwight gets credit for a 4th and second seed in the playoffs but we get amnesia about this year. BTW, he hasn't "lead" jack.
