I get what you're saying, but you -need- that one guy you can count on for some easy buckets. The Spurs had that with DeRozan tonight in the mid range, and Wall can do the same driving. I agree though that the ball needs to keep moving, but I think Wall can still help in that regard.
Agreed - if we could just ensure he keeps the drive as his go-to. I admit in my head when I made my post I was just not wanting to see his broke jumper again.
Wall has been great for a guy not playing for 2 years, people who criticize him are ones that are not taking that in to account. Also don't get too carried away by 1 win, great win but they have to do this every game......scrap like they did today. Get consistent
Brown plays within his limits, but he is steady. I like that. KM Jr's athleticism wowed me. Wood worked harder on defense. If he was a bit stronger, he would be more dangerous. Mason definitely has good potential. Tate was awesome out there. He is gaining in confidence. I didn't expect a win without Wall and EG. We need to get healthy quickly in order to make a run for the 8th seed spot. I'm interested in getting a good pick or a young vet for Oladipo. He will need to play well till the trade deadline for that to happen. @D-rock Please throw in some names who could be realistically possible for a Oladipo/ PJ and a 1st round pick apart from Aaron Gordon.
It was refreshing to see the Rockets scratch out a less than perfect W. Now, does this group have serious limitations? Yes. But they aren't tankers. They're professionals that played with pride and zero excuses who took down a good Spurs team that always makes you beat them. I was impressed when the Spurs went down the stretch with veteran guys, players like DeRozan, Gay, Aldridge, and Mills that routinely kill us, and we didn't fold. Lots to improve on (especially our transition defense which is simply cringe-worthy at times), but I was happy to see this short-handed group win the day.
1 not sure if walls that guy 2 spurs had the guy and still lost 3 why not all the guys or most of them be that just like it was last night for the opponent not to know what gonna hit em? just a food for thoughts
on the other hand imagine harden down the stretch 4 minutes to go with 9 points down i love the guy and appreciate perhaps more than anyone i ever met but man he'd half assed it and stepped backed clanked it or turned it over with a lazy pass or have it passed to gordon for a 35 footer brick and the game would be over...
I can't believe he's the listed 6'4" as he looks taller. I kept checking the roster heights to make sure I didn't misread as he looks bigger than several dudes listed as taller than him. The kid seems like a real find.
Dude, we beat the Spurs while starting Brown and McLemore. This isn’t a typical “it’s just one game” situation.
Definitely. One of those role players you hope will be around for when we find our next superstar. I remember Chuck Hayes was a freaking joy to watch those seasons under Adelman. I hope Tate continues his consistency. I really really really do feel coach needs to keep him in the starting line up.
