Lottery is so flattened and tanking is overrated in today's NBA. If your team is like decent you can still sign big FAs that want to sign with you. See Miami...see even Nets. Those teams didn't tank and star players decided they'd go there to be the cherry on top. By the way, Wood is 25 and very well could be an all-star player in this league if the team has a good enough record. I don't mind if we have the worst record in the league...but I also would not mind at all finishing 9th either or even sneaking into the playoffs. Being at the bottom of the league is more likely especially with how deep the West is this year though.
The NBA was vastly different then. There are to many above average teams in the West with legitimate go to players. I didn’t think they had a chance at anything higher than 6th with JH. Without him the playoffs won’t happen. Let’s not fool ourselves the talent on this team isn’t very high.

San Antonio is currently 19th in offensive efficiency my guy. They are also 22th in defensive efficiency. Of course it didnt. Sure he was acting like a dick. But this woulnd be a championship squad with Harden buying in either.

West was tougher then you got Spurs, Mavs, PHX, Sac, Utah even NO had Cp3 and Tyson Chandler and Rox still somehow kept getting 8th seed. Playoffs is very reachable making noise or going far ok that might be a stretch but just making the playoffs is ez. You dont have Harden but you have Wood, Dipo and Wall it aint exactly a bunch of no names. Wood just had 27 15 give the guy some respect. He is clearly an all star level talent. Add Dipo and Wall and the cast they have easily playoff bound. You really think Steph "weak Ankle" Curry gonna carry Dray, Oubre and Wiggins to a playoff spot? As we speak they are getting destroyed by the Nuggs lulz.
