Why dog Cat? He has had a damn good year. Especially looking at his salary. Games are also a lot different when the don't mean jack. I don't really like the way SF has played this year but must admit that we would be the Clipps without him.

I have League Pass. I can watch him play whenever. If I was a Steve only fan, I'd want him traded tomorrow so I could really see him excel, cause he sure as hell can't do it here.

Also, it will be great to come in here once he is traded cause 85% of the crap posting would be gone and people would be forced to look at the weakness of other players (cough Yao cough) and not have a knee jerk answer to them all - Steve sux worse. Although, I do believe we could trade Steve to Mars and he will always be to blame for every Yao shortcoming.

I actually hope Cuttino is traded too so I won't have to hear that either.

Watched the game with trepidation: no SF, no Cat, no Cato.

Guess what..................no loss.

JVG got his cake and ate it too. Not only did he rest key players but they witnessed what can be done with total effort, good ball movement, and good team defense. Somehow the effort was better than any I've seen in the last 2-3 weeks.

Are we better without SF and Cat? No one really believes that. You can say that Sonics were just "playing out the string," but this is a team that beat the Mavs by 20 several days ago, and a team that has owned us this year. JVG's comments about never playing again like we played in Utah spoke volumes. After sitting SF for the last 23 minutes against Utah, he said he was giving his team the best chance to win. You figure it out. Message delivered loud and clear last nite in Seattle.

Anyway, I loved what I saw and the experience could be a real confidence booster for Boki and Padgett in the playoffs. And the "Jackson 2" showed how to play smart, stay poised, and prevail under pressure in a game we were pencilled in to lose.

A great game. I hope Steve and Cat were paying attention and taking notes to study after the game. Do you think JVG will be using this game film as a study guide?

Good to see Boki do well. I would love to see JJ at the 2, Boki at the 3, and Cat as 6th man.

 

Because Yao hasn't been playing well and hasn't logged as many minutes as SF & CM have over the course of the season.

So what does it mean if we don't use this line-up (sitting CM & SF) comes playoff time? Does that mean JVG is stupid and not giving the Rockets the best chance to win?

Want to use the excuse that MJ is too old and can't play all the minutes? How about having him play major minutes (35+) and starting in a decisive game during the playoffs, you think that is going to happen? No? Why not?

I'll guarantee you that there will be more gloating by the SF haters if SF is traded and if the team has more success (even if we just improve by 3 more wins).

To re-interate my stance: I'm fine with trading SF if the right deal comes along. If SF succeeds with another team, it doesn't mean he would've had success with us (except if he succeds with a dominating big man).

I didn't see the game except for the last couple of minutes, will someone please fill me in about how/why we lost the 16 point lead as was said by the radio guy.

 

A key to this game was how mark jackson pushed the ball and got to the free throw line. Steve needs to get better at this instead of always picking up his dribble when he has his opponent beat.

Wowoo, people are more excited about this game (which is meaningless) than the nuggets game (a must-win for us). Tha hatred towards Francis here is just freaking unbelievable. Francis still got blasted when he did not play any minute. You guys act like SF/Cat actually cause us to fail.

All the NBA teams can win without their stars. But it doesn't their stars suck and should be replaced.

 

To some extent, each game is meaningful to Rox.

No kidding. Some people are just always looking for the negative for Steve, who was constantly celebrating and hopping off the bench to support his teammates last night, who played completely battered the other night against the Nuggets. Mind you, he dropped 33 points, 11 assists, and 4 steals on them, while Cat had 22 pts.

Come one guys, can we just rally around the team we have and support them? It's like pulling teeth to get some of you board members to actually be positive. And, don't give me this "we've been watching them for blah blah blah". We're in the now, show some excitement.

Best thing - UTAH IS OUT. Muwahahahaha.

You Steve fans can not acknowledge that the offense was SO much more efficient without him running it?

Yes, there were others who stepped up as well, but didn't you see all the WIDE open shots that the team was getting.

Ball movement...not with the dribble but with the pass....it is a good thing.

Steve is a good player, no doubt, but he does not fit the Rockets team.

I wish him luck on whichever team he gets traded to.

I don't think that this game provided enough evidence that ROX should trade SF3 or CAT, even if these two guys played many boring games before. As you remembered, ROX lost to SUNs without SF3!

ROX may change and improve next season. But coach must design multiple offense strategies, depending on its opponents, instead of almost the same scheme:inside and outside.

 

Good observation.

Refs officiate the game base on the way you play. Hopefully Yao could keep up that style constantly. Be aggressive & assertive, Yao!
