Well, as it turns out, I'm f***ing thrilled that Francis and Mobley didn't play. I thought this might have been the most complete win of the season. Just fantastic... Will write more soon.

What a great game to see live! WOOOOOOO!

We can't expect anyone to run this team as masterfully as someone like MJ who has decades of experience, half of those years being in this system.

However, we can and should expect better than Steve.

My God, so refreshing watching a veteran backcourt. I'm watching it right now, and I can't believe these are the Rockets.

yeah i guess. it's gonna be crazy next year if he gets traded though. every time we have a bad game the save steve people are gonna fire up a storm. i keep thinking about how steve might be able to co-exist with yao... but logically it doesn't work because Steve needs the ball more to be effective. i like him as a person, so him moving on and us getting something back is probably pareto effecient.

speaking of conviction... i really liked "hunter the gathering" the game... good concept... you should make one like that i'd buy it for sure.

For the 9283198472148023 time, there is NO way we will be playing the spurs. None, zero, no chance in hell.

that's interesting. there really aren't point guards like that anymore. 18 years later there may be another M. Jordan, but maybe not another play like M. Jackson.

Tonight's game seemed to have given further evidence that Boki's problems are mainly mental. In a game where he's not on a leash, Boki played a great all-around game. And we finally saw his 3-pt shooting touch. This kid needs to be in the rotation next year.

We don't have as hard a time getting calls when we're not complaining half the game (i.e. steve and cat).

But yipeng... in order to be Pareto efficient you must benefit some people more without sacrificing somebody else. Somehow I would think it would hurt some here alot (cough Juugie, amed cough) if Steve was traded. So maybe Pareto efficient is not the term you're looking for. ;)

Stochastic! Looks like someone is getting use out of their thesaurus, while getting me to use my dictionary at the same time.

I guess I should put up the disclaimer. I am well aware that was a mis-application of the definition. It was meant to be a joke only.

    this thread is funny.

    we've got:
people saying that boki deserves to be counted among the best of all time,
people who think we will be playing the spurs in the first round,
people who think this game was meaningless,
    etc.

but it's all okay, b/c the rockets won tonight with boki starting, and that was good to see.

Cat & Steve were injured. What was Cato's reason?

    you're right...

i was only thinking in terms of us and steve. we might have a smoother offense, and he might be able to go back to scoring 25 ppg. i didn't consider that he might hurt his new team by doing that. but hey if you score 25ppg on any team you're probably not hurting them.

m_cable... sorry, it's a biology term that i nonetheless like to use all the time.

In Yao's case JVG had no choice. Yao was in a slump and the only way to get out of those is to play your way out of it.

The #1 and #2 seeds are meant for the teams that win their division. Even if the Spurs have a better record than the Lakers or Kings they still wouldn't have a better record than the T-Wolves. In other words unless the Spurs get a better record than the T-Wolves who are a #1 seed than even then the Rockets can't play the Spurs because the Rockets are a #7 seed.

Winners of their divisions get #1 and #2 seed. The Spurs will not win their division and if they did they would be a #1 seed. The Rockets are a #7 seed so they would play the division winner of Pacific division which would be a #2 seed.

#1 plays #8 (Spurs could only place here which they can't anyways. T-Wolves vs Nuggets. )

#2 plays #7 (Pacific Division winner Kings vs Rockets.)

#3 plays #6 (Spurs vs Mavericks.)

#4 plays #5 (Lakers vs. Grizzlies.)

That's why. I can repeat it again if necessary (Copy/paste.)
