I gotta ask, how hard can it be to pass it to Yao on the opposite side of the defender? He's so big and so wide, and our guards pass right to the vulnerable side seemingly every time.

Also...if Seattle chokes that bad and Denver wins out, then Denver would take the division!!!

Yao had a nice flop when he got pushed in the back. I think that's the first time that's been called all season.

I actually think the Rockets are playing TOO fast.

They seem really amped up for this game (as opposed to the normal lethargic starts they get off to against these run and gun teams), and its probably what's leading to a lot of these turnovers early.

Everything will slow down once Yao really gets tired, or Mutombo comes in... but still... the Rox need to realize that they don't need to be flooring it on every possesion.

Take your time, make good passes, and hit your open shots.

If you gonna foul someone in the Paint foul like the Ukraine train on Ming, Pure NHL style. The difference with that foul was a message "get the F off the paint!

I wonder If Yao will start playing passive after that.

Evening fellas! I think this is a good time for us to slow it down and get used to the pace of the playoffs, go inside early and often and tighten up on the D.

They definitely played tough D... but its easy to do that when the Sonics really only have one legit scoring threat out there.

That being said, our offense is probably suffering from our increased tenacity on defense. Also, Seattle's defense hasn't been bad at all... they're playing off Spoon and Mutombo, and doubling T-Mac (which is what they should be doing).

Wow! 14-13 after 1st quarter, I guess this game is very boring...

I'm telling you... there's something different about Yao today... somebody must have pissed him off before the game.

I like how JVG is daring the refs to call a 4th foul on Yao. :D

Did you see how McGrady was hyped up by Yao's agressiveness. I swear I could read his lips, "That's what I'm F-kin talking about!"

I got up out of my seat when i saw that. seeing yao get angry and stand up for himself there is what i've been waiting to see. he has it in him, he can only take so much, i hope the playoffs bring it out of him.
