Why would they do that? Do you see some deficiency in his rebounding that makes you say that?

Morning all! What a great game we played last night, it was worth it to stay up. I got something out of this game which have always been consistent in my thoughts about our beloved ROX.

We can only go so far as Yao will take us. We proved it to ourselves and Seattle proved it for us, when you are a perimeter team, you live and die by your jumshot. Seattle had it going early in the game and was smoking hot! But we all know when it comes to shootings , it's very difficult to maintain a torrid pace like that, especially you know there will be defensive adjustments coming right at you.

We never Yao got involved early in the 1st half, he took only 4 shots and got few touches(I know, we've beat this dead horse a few times!:) . My point is this : our player musts recognized how important Yao is to the success of the Rox and must do everything to help him. Yao no doubt has shortcomings, we all know that. I don't need to go into details, it has been discussed around here ad nauseum.

Until our players understand this: INSIDE OUT BASKETBALL is still the way to go and we are so lucky to have a skilled big man like Yao to go along with an awsome talent like TMac, and they will try everything they can to help, protect Yao and get him touches and shots, the Rox will always struggle to win games.

As far as Yao concerns, he must watch tapes of this game and decide to take a stand whether he wants to be a hero or a zero?

That was the best game of the season, the Spurs game shouldn't be compared to any other game anyway, dominating third quarter and ice cold play in crunch time. Forget the Spurs, forget the Suns, forget the Sonics, forget the Mavericks, the Rockets are now the most feared team in the West, I know those teams don't want to see us in a seven game series. Playoffs are going to be fun people.

The Rockets shoot 52% something field goal the first half. Offense is OK. But letting your opponent shoot 57% for a half is not very smart. Luckily, the 3rd quarter defense dug the team out of the hole.

Thanks for you great efforts as usual.

BTW: I didn't see the game vs Dallas online, did I miss something?
and it is strange that the bittorrent thread on "bbs.smeggysmeg.com" hasn't been updated later.

Sonics just got hot hands especially Ray Allen in the first half. There were not too much Rockets can defense.

I freaking love this team. I always love the Rockets...but it takes it to an entirely different level when you watch your team do what these guys did last night. Grinding it out...against a very tough opponent in front of a very loud crowd on the road. Watching Yao respond aggressively when challenged last night. Watching T-Mac knock down big shot after big shot last night. Watching the supporting cast be hustle their butts off and just be so steady. Few mental mistakes. Just good basketball. Wow...I'm sold!!!

I think they dislike the Rockets in general, its pathetic. The Sonic lost this game yet they get all the highlights and even showed all that went wrong with them. Didn't show any of Yao's clutch blk or shots and they finally happen to show T-Mac's clutch 3 ball which they probally felt they just had to put that one in there. It has been like this all season and I just don't understand it. I thought ESPN was all about money/public exposure...wouldn't Yao + T-Mac would get a lot viewers? I mean, Yao was the #1 vote getter in the all-star game if that means anything.

    Funny Rockets Starters

    Center: tipping
    PF: powerless
    SF: Guard+Forward,doing everything
    SG: defending
    PG: shooting

a mix of these five = a winning team over Sonics
    it's so funny.

I was unable to record the first half of the Mavs game...I might post what I have if the demand is there...but since it was a national tv game on a channel that doesnt require cable....I figgered there wasnt much demand.

I just wanted to comment that McGrady did an excellent job on R. Lewis in the second half. IMO, I consider McGrady to be an excellent one-one defender. Go T-Mac!
