Commentators always sound intelligent becuz they can see things as an outsider and talk theories. But, reality isn't always consistent with plain theories. There're alot more variables to deal with.

However, I DO like Calvin's commenting pretty much.

Let's see... myself and somebody else (Gator I think), predicted the Rockets will finish 9th in the WC 2 weeks before the season. Then after the season started and the Rockets were winning those early games against crap teams, I said on here the Rockets will fade somewhere down the road. Looks like 2 for 2 so far.

why call out Yao all of a sudden? this is what pisses me off about the friggin Yao only segregators...

dude, we are talking about francis, some of these things are the truth, and the truth hurts, this doesn't necessarily mean they are bashes, and even if the news of francis is negative doesn't friggin mean we are Yao only fans...for crissakes...

What Rockets need is our SUPPORT, not BASHING.

If Rockets win, cheers for them.
If Rockets lose, simply support them. They will learn from mistakes and keep improving.

No team is perfect, even Spurs or Lakers.

You are right. No team is perfect. But does any team that suffered the same problem for 5 years which can surely be improved?

These long-ass scoring droughts the team seems to have every game just last forever. It makes me want to tear my hair out. As soon as the defense starts to play aggressive defense, the team just completely crumbles and shows absolutely no composure.

At this point, I think I’d rather the team played like they did last year when they beat all the good teams, but lost to all the bad ones. At least back then it looked like the Rockets would eventually be destined for greatness, they just needed to stop overlooking bad teams.

The team now just flat out looks like it’s destined for mediocrity. To go this long without beating a single team above .500 is just unbelievable. This road trip was supposed to be the first test to see how the Rockets compared to other good teams and god did they fail miserably.

You cannot continue to make this statement until the Rockets actually prove that they are better on the court against these teams. We'll see just how good they really are at the end of the season.

I predict that this will be a watershed year for this team and this organization. Another bellyflop into the lottery will bring some serious changes starting with (I hope!) the dismissal of Carroll Dawson.

haha, it is like in statistics. This season and last season's team have the same expected rate of success or win-loss ratio, but last season's team has a higher variance, i.e., not as consistent as this season's team.

By the way, the team this season actually is not as good as the team last year in talent. We lost EG as our starting PF, and we lost Posey as our starting SF. You do not want to overrate EG's role in the team, but he can defend opponent's PF on the perimeter better than Cato.

The style that the Rock play is not gonna work to beat the good team. Sure, we beat the sub .500 team because the opponent cannot shoot the ball. But when we play a descent team, they tend to shot the night out from us. Just look at the last few games, we couldn't defend the outside shooting, and contrastly, we keep shooting bricks after bricks. Why? Because we could not create easy shot for ourselves. A lot of the shot we made are tough shot. We need a good passing to create easy shot, and a passing play requires a better spacing which we don't seem to have. Steve, as far as the team go, he is still the go to guy, and that's why Yao does not want to crossover Steve role. Unfortunately, this is going to be until Yao can show he can dominated. I still have not seem this move yet, Yao cut to the basket, while he is moving, someone pass him the ball to his hand, he then shoot the basket with one motion. If our team can do this, nobody can stop us.

The coach need to let loose and let Yao play his game. Cos, every time he commited a mistake, he was being benched. This will make Yao timid to play more aggressive. Notice, when the game is on the line or at the 4th Quarter, he will reluntant to shoot the basket. He would rather pass the ball to other.

I guess I probaly know what yaoming thinking and why JVG benched him after he have scored about 10pts in last a few games.

The REASON is Yaoming is disappointed to the team, he want to leave after his contract expired. well, he just keep try his best to make double-double in every game to prove his value and that's all. JVG probably know that. After Yao got his first half of double-double. he benched Yao, and let him in for another part, at least JVG can make sure that Yao will be aggreesive for rebounds.

sounds little dumb, but maybe true. Everyone knows Rockets will not trade SF(he is an all-star), Rox cannot trade Mot/Cato/Mobely, (no term will be such dumb to accept them due to their overrated salary)

therefore, there is no way to go for Rox except give all these guys a brain-wash.
