some people only think a polished young player is if he has a jumper.

they ignore all the other aspects of the game.

durant's shot looks nice, but he's shooting 35% so far. so it doesn't matter if it looks nice, it has to go in.

Lebron averaged more than 20 at 19 years old, I think KD will as well.

No he won't. I know he's alone on the team and it's a perfect place to have a great individuals numbers but no. He will not average even 24 ppg. I think about 22

kd is NOWHERE as good as lebron coming in. not even close. lebron avg 20 w/ 5, and 5.

but he might if he jacks up 25 shots a game.

How do you figure that? Durant averaged 25ppg in COLLEGE as a Freshman, I guess we will have to wait and see.

    that's how i figure it.

he won't be able to post up in the NBA. he won't be able to penetrate as well as in the NBA. he won't be able to get a lot of ofefnsive rebounds for putbacks like he did in college.

in the preseason, the only way he scored is primarily shoot A TON of jumpers (around 35-37% fg).

that's what i base it on.

he may prove me wrong and suddenly get some handles and an electric first step.

I have to say I like Clutch's take on the game...

Particularly, I like the take on the 3rd Qtr... with Rafer having a bad shooting night, Adelman had the option of putting in Mike James, whose contribution, incidentally, didn't come primarily from shooting.

Also agree with the observation about what
good deal Scola is. I remember much talk about trading Battier early in the offseason had to do with getting a PF, especially after Juwan got shipped for James. I also remember some of us (and maybe the front office, too) were contemplating burning the MLE, or a part of it, on guys like Malik Allen, PJ Brown, and Joe Smith. Scola might need time to adjust, but so far he has looked pretty good and all the Rockets had to do was ship some cash and a 2nd round pick with Spanoulis to get him.
