Just looking at the box score, Kevin Durant really does look like the second coming of T-Mac.

On that subject, T-Mac just looks too good in this offense to go playing around with it now. I realize what Kobe is, but Tracy just looks like this team was made for him.

In other notes, it's fun to see Scola's progression from game to game. By the time the games count, he's going to be 100% ready to start. Brooks is my hero.

I think they'll keep both Snyder & Butler. They need one of their salaries to dump in a trade in order to get under LT.

I have given up on Novak. He is just not quick enough to stay on the perimeter and just not big enough to stay in the paint. Atleast Butler gives us that size that we need just in case. I would keep Harris and Butler out of that list.

^^^ You will love the Fast break between Rafer, TMAC and Scola.

KD is 18 years old and is far ahead of both KD and Tracy as rookies. In 2-3 years after he gains some muscle, the guy will be an unstoppable scoring machine. He is a hard-working fanatic who loves basketball. I'm gonna watch every Sonics game I can.

I agree with that only because I don't think Tracy was given very many opportunities as a rookie while Durant is a starter. If he puts on muscle mass, then yes I would say he has the potential... at the moment though, his length and somewhat awkward movement makes him appear not to flow so well. I watched him all through college and he tore it up. We shall see.

Durant definitely has a weird ability to score the rock but his athleticism was much worse than I expected.

Happy to see Mac playing a great game and Scola is making progress. Scola is a perfect fit for Rox.
Today AB's performance also gave me much happiness.

It seems like our defense was pretty good in this game. Scola was taking charges and our guards are very athletic.
I think we'll need a 3rd power forward on some nights if our power forwards continue fouling the way they do....who do you guys think should be our 3rd power forward?

Also, we have got to find a way to get Brooks in the rotation. His speed adds another dimension to the game, not to mention his 3 pointers..... this deepness is almost a curse in that we can't get everyone on the floor. How did we get suddenly so many good players when we couldn't even get a decent one the last few years?

Durant reminds me of Cassell in the fact that he isn't the strongest, quickest or most explosive guy but he just has a knack for getting himself a decent look at the rim. He is definitely a pure scorer.

that's why u don't look at the boxscore. tmac had great handles even in toronto and played PG and defense during his time there.

durant has so sense of playmaking nor D. but he's gonna be a great scorer in this L. that stroke is beautiful to watch.

Durant's arms look like string beans....they were kind of distracting whenever he shoots free throws...just hanging there soft, skinny with no defintion...he needs to hit the weight room. I'm also surprised that Bill said he was 6'8".....I thought he was 6'9 or 6'10".

he's ahead b/c he is going to play more minutes in his rookie year. tmac/kobe/kg have paved the way now where young players will get big minutes in their first year.

durant is just as skinny as tmac was in his rookie yr but the perception back then on young players wasn't as good. but now that tmac/kobe/kg have proven that label does not hold true all the time, young players have a chance to prove themselves.

i don't think u can judge what durant does in his first yr and say he'll do better than tmac or kg career wise.

I believe that we'll not see Tmac's sad tears in the new season. If there's tears, must be exciting and joyful tears!

i'm shocked at this too. he's not as quick as i thought he would be. the two times scola was on him, durant could not even come close to getting around him. if he can't beat scola, how is he going to beat other SFs?

he's not as athletic but i kinda knew that.

but he can shoot and it's rare a 6-10 guy has range like that. but he's not gonna be the next lebron or melo or anything.

I wonder how the Rockets were able to blow out the Sonics as easily as they did despite getting outrebounded 46-40?

There's just one area I liked that they improved on over their game with the Mavericks Thursday was their free throw shooting. Tonight, they did manage to make 26 of 32 while on Thursday, they only made 18 of 28.

Methinks the 3rd PF spot is among Battier, Landry, and Mike Harris. Maybe Justin Reed can get some burn, too.
