I truly hope that he gets much of our PF minutes. He has that it that helps you win against good teams.

That is not true at all. We used Tracy as a decoy so he could put up easier shots.

I completely agree with this point.

Tracy routinely walked the ball up the floor, stopped 5 ft. beyond the three point line, and chucked a 3. It was pretty ridiculous at times.

Snyder and Butler should be cut for sure....i don't like their games and they don't fit in. So that means Landry and Harris will be in...they're just better.

That's because Tracy is a good shooter and he can do that all game long.

He's a career 34% three point shooter, that's just average. Just because he has range doesn't mean its a good shot.

The only reason Butler is still with the team is that the Deke is old and we do not have a decent backup center. He got size but our roster is so deep that we might lose a good player that could contribute to our team.

I would keep Harris and cut or trade Butler, Reed, Lucas, Novak, Landry.

the line up of Butler, Novak, Landry, Brooks & Lucas is so small. But so very interesting.

    haha.

Anyway when Scola, Battier, Tmac, SF3 and AB was on the floor, that team was just flying.

T-Mac sending Morey a message: Don't trade me for Kobe

T-Mac sending Morey a message: Don't trade me for Kobe

T-Mac playing the way he did tonight (pre-season mind you) just send a message to the Rockets management: Don't trade me for Kobe and don't tear this team up.

It is nice to see Tracy healthy and let's hope he plays at this level the entire season including the playoffs. I am so PUMPED for this season.

Just got home and I'm skimming the thread. I'm on page 26. Had to respond to this post. I think signing Billy is going to go down as one of the great moves in Rockets history. Why? Because it led to the rape and pillaging of the Spurs. It led to Luis Scola.

    Viva Scola!!!

i can hardly wait for the season to start! i was switching back from the dynamos game to the rockets game.. but any other year in pre-season, i would've just stuck with soccer. but man, i'm so excited. i truly believe we have a team capable of reaching 60 wins

Yeah! He got more points than minutes. Makes me reminisce about the time when I was a TOF.

Maybe Tmac raised his game tonight to send a message to Lakers management and not Morey? Did this cross your mind?

I don't necessarily think Butler should be cut. I think he provides a viable option behind Mutumbo and it's always good to have a backup. The problem is there needs to be a decision.

Ultimately, if it came down to it, I would choose between Landry or Novak probably going towards Landry because he seems to have more defensive abilities than Novak i.e. his days in college but that isn't known in the NBA.

The way I see it, Synder, Lucas, Reed and Sura are gone which leaves 3 spots for Novak, Landry, Butler, and Harris. I can do without Novak.

Maybe I am getting this wrong but here goes... here are the players that will be here for sure I think:

battier, scola, ming, alston, mac, mutumbo, hayes, francis, brooks, james, wells, and head.

That is 12 players for a 15 player max roster. Now, we have left:

snyder, lucas, novak, landry, butler, harris, reed, and sura.

Sura and Lucas is gone for sure. That means we have three spots for either Synder, Novak, Landry, Butler, Harris or Reed. Reed is going to get cut because he hasn't really seen the light of day in pre-season. I personally think Synder is going to get cut. So the last choice comes down to the four of Novak, landry, Butler, and Harris. We just need to cut one don't we?

No way we trade TMAC. Now as i say that i am pondering is Kobe really better than TMAC. I mean half of the board agrees that Tmac should not be traded for Kobe. Overall, I would like Tmac in this team than Kobe Bryant.

I think Scola has eased any worries that he won't be able to adjust to the NBa speed right away....in fact, with his frenetic Argentine style it seems like he's forcing NBA players to adjust to him. What's good is also that's he's been a pro for at least 7 years and we know he can raise his game in intense games like the Olympics, international championship games and the Olympics qualifying tournament.

Right now, I'd probably say these are the players we should get rid of:

    Lucas
    Sura
    Reed
    Snyder

If we were allowed 16 players, I would keep Butler...but since we're so deep we're forced to make a decision. It's not necessarily that I badly want to get rid of him, but that I don't think he brings too much to the table. If we're stuck with Butler at center, we'd be in trouble any way. Landry and Harris bring more to the table and they've done some nice things that make them look promising. Novak has that special skill of 3 point shooting that makes him intriguing. Butler, though a center, doesn't do the two things that are most important at that position espcially for a backup---defense and reboudnign.
