FINALLY, a blow out win!! :)

I never thought Sura was feezing Yao out, but I thought it was interesting that it seemed as if he couldn't really get him the ball. Those that complain about this should be quiet after tonight. Sura THREW YAO THE BALL a few times. I am wondering though what is the point of bringing Sura (banged up from head to toe) back in the game up by 18 points late in the 4th, and then, taking him out with only 47 secs left. Weird. Hey, but Barret played a great half-minute! :)

Keep in going Rox! T'Pups are at our mercy!

Yao looked to be moving good tonight. If he didn't get the hoop then he was going to the line.

    Question....

With about 5 minutes left in the game, we being up 20 plus, why was T-Mac and Sura still in the game. Shouldn't this be a good time to rest these two? Just wondering, don't want to start a negative thread here, but I would want my starting backcourt to get as much as rest a possible, espcially if fighting nagging injuries. What ya'll think?

Be fair. Yao got many chances in the first quarter, and scored a couple from Sura's assist. In the rest of game, Yao also had many touches and passed the ball out for open shots and many of them went in. It is a great game.

Mac probably wanted to stay in since he had it going on tonight. Sura, well, Gundy mistook him with Barret. It happens. :D

It is well known that the rockets blow big leads so JVG dont want to take the chance and decide to leave T-mac and sura in the game :D

Wow, we assisted on 35 out of the 41 FG's we made?? Amazing...

Did we turn into the Kings or something? :)

I think they should have been taken out. Van Gundy's substitution patterns often leave me baffled... assuming he has a pattern. He leaves people in for too long. Maybe he's insecure about some of his players. ;)

Yep, Yao is now the last option.

And Mark Blount and Udonis Haslem are ahead of Yao in FG%. Individual player FG% has little to do with a player's ability to create a shot, much less get the ball.

35 assists, man. 35 of them. On 50+% FG%. That is awesome offensive basketball no matter how you slice it. I will live with our perimeter players taking open jump shots, if that's what the defense wants to give them.

There are other ways for Yao to affect the basketball game.

Cheer up; Yao got 2 assists. That's as many as he had between December 28 and January 13.

if you check the stats for the last month or so...you will notice a steady increase in the ratio of assists to fieldgoals.

Bill and Van comment on it pretty frequently.

The passing on this team is unlike any Rockets team in recent memory...it is insane..especially when ppl are hitting their shots...

do we have to disparage another player just because of a bonehead statement by a fan on this BBS?
