I have seen 2 plays were Yao is not even past half court, when the the other 4 players are setting the offense already.

Put people out there who are actually hungry, like Luther and Scola, even though they are not as talented.

    Mr. Clutch,

The above statement means that you think that Scola is not as talented as whoever he would replace. He typically replaces Hayes.

And then out of nowhere you brought up Hayes.

You understand they can give Scola AND Hayes minutes, right?

And their offense, while more creative, is much less efficient so far.

It was fun blowing out teams at home and on the road without Yao, Snyder, and BOnzi (Yes snyder was a starter for us. Shows what kind of talent we had)

That's how selfish the NBA has gotten, I see this with a lot of teams... Maybe, their agents tell them not to shoot these so teams might also be partly to blame with how they negotiate...

Think about what you guys are saying -- the Rockets must have Rafer Alston to not be a lottery team?

How obscenely embarrassing is that statement? Could you imagine Hakeem and Clyde being losers without a player like Rafer Alston on the court with them?

How does Rafer being out keep the Rockets from defending in the paint or grabbing a defensive board? This team has Tracy McGrady, Yao Ming, Bonzi Wells, Shane Battier, Steve Francis, Luis Scola, Chuck Hayes, Mike James...

The Rockets have a ton of flaws, but this is on Adelman and the team's response to Adelman.

It's not because of Adelman's defensive philosophy (or lack of it) it's because the team plays with no intensity at all. You can put the best coach in there but if the team has no heart or passion you'll still lose. Granted RA should try to motivate this team but it looks like they've quit a long time ago

question: what coaches are available out there right now? If we do fire Adleman, what are our options?

No, because there are enough minutes for both of them. I'm just praising Scola for his heart and hustle. Hayes obviously hustles as well.

I think Bonzi and Francis minutes should be reduced dramatically, they are out of shape and slow.

Let's go back to the rotation we used last year: MORE HEAD!

Relax. They are learning a new offense. We should expect to get blown out by 30 or 40 points by the weakest teams in the league while we learn. Give Adelman until the All Star Break. We should only be losing by 25 by then.
