Back in New York, Lin said D'Antoni is a genius on offense. I don't think he's said the same about McHale in terms of offense or defense.

 

Harden has made a good career out of one move.

 

That's his " spread the floor" offense

 

Morris and Patterson combined for 1 rebound in the first half.

 

i m so sick watching ppat or morris play, please play dmo or tjones or trade some pfs...
i m also disappoint with lin this season, hes been playing consistently inconsistent...

 

so whats the problem with the offensive flow? Seems like there is no game plan. Lots of dribbling by the point guard, everyone on the wings, contested shot...clunk...repeat

unless Harden is driving to the hole or we make a lucky 3 (I say lucky because they aren't really falling today either) then we are $hyt out of luck

 

I'm a Lin fan but look. We have a stupid offensive system where our bigs don't set screens, especially when Lin is such a good penetrating guard and our PG is forced to NOT handle the ball and become a 3 point spot-up shooter, it's obvious he won't do well. That's like asking Howard to play outside the paint and shoot 3's all day. Won't work

Why in the blue hell everyone says D-MO is a bad rebounder? He rebounded pretty well in Euroleague and set the record with 22 boards there, then he averaged 20-10 in the D-League and didn't got a chance in the league, yet. wtf guys?

 

Mchale: we rely on players' instinct on defense and we stop running PnR so that we aren't exposed on that matter.

 

we need solid PF and C to complete the squad

 

I'm totally fine with Asik/Smith at center.

We just need a legit starting caliber PF. Heck, even a high tier bench player would be an upgrade over our guys.

 

Exactly. Neither set screens nor rebound particularly well. They just stand and ball watch instead of boxing out in their own paint. Their help defense is atrocious - the only reason why Philly has a layup line since they can pull Omer out w/ Hawes. Patterson plays decent D but Morris just can't. ALL THEY DO/CAN DO is shoot jumpers. Maybe this offensive "system" is limiting their game. But they're just not showing much effort out there either.

In their defense, being a PF who's been turned into a spot-up shooter must suck and they're feeling lazy, uninvolved, and unmotivated because of it.

Sick of both of them. If neither are going to set screens or box out, I'd rather have DMo in there. At the very least, we can put him in the low post and he will score or get fouled.

 

OT: Ravens just intercepted a Manning Pass!!! holy crap

 

Better than their usual production...at this rate they might reach their season averages of 4 & 5 respectively.

 

There is still a lot of game left to be played though. Not worried at all. Just need to play better defense & set some screens for the guards. We can easily win this game.

 

Oh and he rebounded pretty well in Summer league too, but everyone says he is an awful rebounder. pffft.

In his last comment about coaches, I remember him averting his gaze and rolling his eyes while "saying good things about the coaching staff".
