I like KPJ and hope he does well and was pretty stoked about him last year. I disagree with you though. I think all 4 draft picks have a future on the Rockets Wood/Kpj/Gordon and likely Tate do not.

I just don’t see his court persona nor playstyle conducive to (at a minimum of 6 first round picks or 7 if they use Nets pick this year in 3 years) allowing these guys to grow. He simply shoots too much from a main ball handlers position.

And the guy on that team absolutely uses his scoring(even as pathetic as it is right now) as leverage to his passing.

If kpj ups his ppg up 2 20+ efficiently, there can b arguments on how he can play as a faux pg even with his apparent lack of playmaking abilities.

Green needs to b more willing to shoot the ball. If he's always waiting for the best shot then kpj probably isn't the best faux pg to pair him up with.

Regardless who PG is, Green needs to energetically and consistently move off ball to create more open shots.

And he's got to have a quicker trigger when open too.

As the year wraps up I think between kpj, green, jc, senguin you already have plenty of offense. What you need is some interior defense/rebounding and shooting
I am hoping with our first pick we can solve for the big and rebounding. I think with our 2nd pick we need to upgrade our 3 position (bc I think kpj stays at 1). We need a 3 that can play great D (which Tate can do), rebound above average for their position and be a consistent 3 point shooter.

Hopefully KPJ & Green work together along with the other guys

If we can polish that front court and forward positions I think we will be in a play in next year

I expected a rough game for Jalen Green vs Barnes, but I didn't expect 3-4 players teaming up on him either. It's a important experience for him. I did expect him to end up with at least 15 points though. Jalen still has a long way to go, but his rookie season is ending on a positive note. He has rebounded well as a 20 year old, from his shaky start which was partly due to his leg injury. I'm glad that he and Josh will be working out with Vernon Maxwell in the off-season.
