Anyway, the entire Rockets team that came out in the second half was utter s%$#. Yes, T-Mac took way too many bad shots. Yao should definitely have gotten more touches down in the low post. But that doesn't account for the Rockets terrible rebounding and defense in the 2nd half. That's where we lost the game: 2nd chance after 2nd chance. We let them get on a roll and it was over after that.

Also, I'm all for letting Landry get some game experience, but maybe sticking him on Bosh wasn't the smartest thing to do, huh Coach A? Bosh got rolling and then he was pretty much unstoppable after that.

Rick Alderman sucks, I really don't know what kind of basketball Rockets were playing this game.

Spurs have two players who can drive: Ginobili and Parker. They also don't take bad shots.

I've said it before, but we need changes. Not huge changes, but changes

    - TMac will be alright, he will have horrible games 50% of the time in the regular season because he is lazy or just doesn't care, but in the playoffs he will be alright

    - We need to purge our team of soft players, seriously we are the softest team in the nba, battier needs to be off this team, Trade him for his dukie friend JJ Redick, magic could use a class act like battier, and we could use someone who can make wide open jump shots at above a middle school girls level

    Ugly, ugly game.

T-Mac: Way too many early shots. Dude, let the game come to you. The offense was working great in the first half.
Yao: You'll never be dominant if you let utter scrubs like Kris Humphries school you.
Shane: Yea, you made 2 shots in the 1st Q. Where were you the rest of the game?
Bonzi: Not a bad game...but not enough
Chuck: Defense wasn't good enough today
Francis: Great D on TJ Ford...but SHOOT the damn ball when you're open. And stop bringing the ball up like you're afraid it's gonna get stolen...that was painful
Scola: No show in 2nd half
Landry: Unfair to have to go up against Bosh in your first game in 2 wks
James: If you can't hit your shots, you're USELESS

Is Stevie still hurt? Why does it take so long for him to bring the ball up the court?

And why is he so hesistant about shooting open J's?

I can't believe that I am saying this but I miss Rafer at PG.

Stevie is just not ready to start any more.

This is his first time starting... Why weren't u guys missing rafer when we lost 6 in a row with him? Come on, steve will learn from this mistake. If he plays well as a starter tomorrow what will u all say?

What they need is someone who will get on their asses and hold them accountable. JVG, Larry Brown, SVG, Thibodeau, Theus, Carlesimo: all were available in the offseason.

This team is hopeless without trade(s) in the middle of the season.

Apparently, Yao needs Rafer, and this team needs Rafer. I didn't see any pass from SF3 to Yao in the 1st half. Yao only got 5 shots in the 1st half. I remember JGD said he played Rafer 40 min for Yao's sake. I think I understand it now. Rafer is the person who is willing to pass the ball to Yao the most. In fact, SF3 was traded because he didn't want (or not able) to pass the ball to Yao. I have to think SF3 cannot start and play with Yao for long period.

Kobe has always had that green light as well, and has as many low % shooting games as T-Mac...yet Kobe still won 3 rings.

T-Mac and Yao are not the problems of this team. Right now, Adelman's offensive play calling is. He changes the major focal point and major offensive gameplan each game...never any consistency.

Every team loses games they shouldn't. Look at the games the Mavs, Suns, and Spurs lose. There's always going to be bad times like these, even with championship teams. At least Landry got some experience this game and SF got to start.

the best shooter on the team cannot have 9 shots. It's up to adelman to figure out ways to get him the ball. balance, balance, balance balance, balance, balance.

It's just one game, we need more than one game to find out if Steve, James, or Head is capable of handling the PG duty full time.

My feeling is that James is definitely incapable of because he is not a PG material, Steve and Head probably can handle it part time, but that means TMac has to spend time as PG which he is not very good at.

People here often mistake TMac's court vision with the PG plays, but those are two different things. If you watch TMac closely, he is not good at direct the offense as a PG. His strength is dribble penetration, and kick out when doubled, but he doesn't get the team into the offensive flow like good PGs normally do, nor does he move the ball well as the floor general, almost all of his great plays come from dribble penetration, which is fine as a SG or SF. But as a PG, there are far more responsibilities than just dribble penetration.

TMac was a superstar during his Magic days, but he is on the down side of his career. Yes, he can still put some great performance together, but it's just not every game as he was able to before. I'd say he is only a part time superstar now.

Yao was a very good player, he can give you superstar performance at some nights, but his game just has too much flaws for the Rockets to depend on it. The Jazz explored his game, the Warriors did the same thing, and even the Suns and the Mavs have took advantage of that.

All in all, this is a team with two very good players, but none of them is a true consistent dominating force. That means we need a good system to utilize their strength, and to cover their shortage for the Rockets to reach another level. Adelman has proved that he can install a winning system based on his players with the SAC, let's give him more time to see if he can do that with the Rockets.

    U have trouble reading?

I pointed out Stevie's problems in today's game and his deficiencies made me almost want to have Rafer back. Do you feel that Steve was playing well in this game?

I did not make any comparison of their season so far. It was a one-game observation.

you have to wonder if all the things that happened to steve over the past four years have taken away his confidence. He looks rattled he looks like he lost confidence in his 3point shot.I really hope he gets that confidence i want to see him do well.
