ClutchFans Game Thread: Rockets @ Raptors 12/9/2007

The difference between the Spurs and the Rockets is that the Spurs have a sytem and every player plays within the system. The Rockets, on the other hand, are confused about their identity now. We are supposed to be a RA style team, but when the game is on the line we go back to being a JVG type team. This confusion is showing when we need to play catchup games.

 

Nice game for T_mac, managed 23 points with 21 attempts.

 

In the second half, Tmac looked like that idiot politician claiming that he earned the capital and wanted to spend it. In the end, he found he went overdrafted.

 

My nice sunny Sunday was destroyed and covered with darkness.

 

Didn't Mike James used to be able to shoot? What does he contribute exactly, except eff' up the Rox shooting percentage, and beef up the opposing team's steal and block numbers?

 

11 points in the third quarter! pathetic......

 

The offense was woeking in the first half because everyone particpated.Yao had some low post moves working,shane hit a few three pointers from good ball movement,T-mac hit a open 3 pointer from a Yao pass out the double team,the bench came in and shared the ball and scola found peopel fro back door cuts.


Second half Tmac went 1 on 5 and the offense became stagnant and predictable. Everyone else started to stand on offense watching Tracy shoot jumpers and as a result of this poor rythym they started to stand on the defensive end.Them watching Tmac chuck got them watching all those second chance rebounds that they gave up even on the free throw line.


When they were playing well in the first half they rebounded because they all were particpating and they all had rythym and they were confident.When T-mac started to chuck they started to stand and watch and this became a vibration pattern.

 

Francis or James is not the answer at PG, James sucks, Francis is a shell of his former self.

 

so the rockets lose a game they probably should've won, while the texans are currently beating a team the probably should be losing to.

really makes you think.

 

We can't talk. We're a full game behind the Lakers and they beat us last time. That's how lousy we are (or we play).

 

Mike and Steve are certainly helping Rafer pad his on/off court +/- stat.

 

The early lead got us into trouble.
Players started out hitting shot early and they were like "Oh **** we are on fire!!"
so they start to pull the trigger 4 seconds into the shot clock like we were the Golden State. the worse part? We dont have Baron Davis and Stephen Jackson.
and Yao needs to step up on defense. Humpheries who? i havent even heard of him until today and he went wild on us.

 

Tell Granato and LZ next time that the Rockets can't be successful with both Yao and McGrady on this team - two soft and lazy so called superstars who really are not Superstars.

and this game was televised in Sweden,so now I have to take **** from friends that know nothing about basketball but are able to tell wether a team suck or not ...so thank u very much...

 

Last time we played Toronto-Philly back to back, we blew both of them out. We beat Philly by 50. We'll see how we respond tomorrow.

I understand the growing pains this team is having under the new system, but the 2 losses this season that have stuck out to me most have been the Sacramento loss and this Toronto one. A loss tomorrow to Philly would be extremely pitiful, especially since the tough portion of our December schedule is coming up.

 

Because as far as I'm concerned....this game was lost in that pecking order.....

First....the head coach for his ineptness, lack of preparation, crazy rotation and no on-the-fly adjustment

Then your favorite, Tracy McGrady for shooting his own foot and this team down.

You can say anything about Big Yao playing sub-par, passive and not aggressive enough......

but at the end of the day, this game surely was not lost because of him. There is not much he can do when he was fronted and double-teamed by his opponents all game long and given so little touch of the basketball.

I agreed with Big Yao that to lose such a game to a weak Eastern Conference team is to be counted as 1 1/2 game lost.....and it is criminal to do that and have to torture passionate Rockets fans like us to have to stay up middle of the night to watch them play, with such lack of passion, zeal, intensity, fire and energy to lose so uglily to such a weak Eastern Conference team.

 

i'm not disappointed. i believe we cannot be worse than today

 

TJ Ford mighn't think so.

 

Bottom line is ....... rockets are a 2 man team! JVG or Adleman we are stil tmac and yao.

Damn this season is not looking good!
