Tari can keep his head up, his defense and offensive rebounding totally threw the raptors off. They were bamboozled by his steals

Besides the annoying ISO plays and TO's, I think KPJ had a fantastic game. He had 11asts and most of them felt intentional (not bailouts). Homie was drive and kicking and finding shooters all over the place. It was great. I need him to keep doing that - with Sengun.

The PnR with Sengun was also fun to watch.

I really didn't think KPJ was going to be able to play with Sengun which makes throwing Fernando in the starting lineup even more frustrating. Silas didn't even try.

You just can't run that frantic 'offense' with 20 year olds especially when everyone is ball watching. Sengun at least gives you stability, can score on any vet / draw the foul or pass. No excuse to not play both styles, depending on game situation

I think the reason why we took out Sengun, which I do not agree with, is because we wanted to switch everything on picks, we were getting stuck on screens and giving VanVleet open shots

You could clearly see that Toronto was scared of Sengun, at one time 3 men were guarding him. Sengun is our best passer and he would helped us to win,

Yeah, because your best player gets double team, and other guys has open shoots.

VanVleet was cooking everybody. Green, KPJ, Gordon. Jabari actually drew that cheap foul though.

    Notable things:

It seemed that sengun was really drawing 3 man defense when he got the ball in the post, that's insane for a second year.

KPJ was having all sort of nice bounce passes, Green also.

Our perimeter defense is uber poor. guys were getting wide open 3s

Whenever we take Sengun out at the end of games, it’s strictly a defensive move to be able to switch 1-5. I said before the season started that this would happen. I’m not gonna argue what’s right and what isn’t, just making it clear what they’re thinking

Sengun with Tari had 3 steals in a row. I really don think Silas takes out Sengun for spacing if Tari makes all his layups. Sengun's defense was good enough we are all trying to find reason why Silas took Sengun out.

Silas just hates this dude always trying to find a reason.

Silas has to realize Sengun is the mismatch.

And I’ll ask again, how’d that work out?
If Alp was the main reason for the poor defense I could maybe understand it. Fred was killing our guards. And there was no gained ground while Alp was on the bench

Why are you asking us. We are just explaining why it was done.

I think it half worked half back fired because we were able to switch all the picks, but lost the rim protection and rebounding. Ended up just losing by 7 anyway with no lose or gain.

    Because it didn’t work.
103-109 when Alp left the game and lost 109-116.
It’s a dumb move, if he was going defense then Green, KPJ and Jabari needed to be on the bench too

And I don’t need half hearted explanations lol, I’m very aware why Silas did what he did. It’s stupid.
Alp is no where close to the main reason this defense is this bad.
