    One question:

How does Larry David do it? Seinfeld and Curb Your Enthusiasm are both great, but who knew he could coach? He has these Raptors really buying into his philosophy.

    ummm....how bout the whole team.

not a one of them could hit consistently.

    not SF
    not Cat
    not Yao
    not JJ
    not cato

I feel that Cat and JJ did a nice job on Vince, but other than that...

    the entire game sucked.

if you want to blame for the loss...blame the whole team that didnt take the Raps seriously, and then panicked when they were down.

In hopes to bring the Blood pressure down

    Texans 12
    Bills 10

It looks like many of us can redirect our attention to a team sport - rather than the Francis show!

dude, you don't get it. we just lost and played bad for 1.23% of our season, it's all over and we're doomed. NOW is the time to panic and get b****y with everyone else. there are grand generalizations to be made and multiple trades to be called for.

steve made the shot to put us up 3 (and if jvg doesn't double 4/20 carter to leave bosh open we probably win), and in OT scored 4 straight to tie it and made the assist to cato to give us the lead, then passed to jj for an open shot, then fought for and knocked the ensuing rebound out to get us another chance, but shot like crap. yao had 20/12 but turned it over the last 3 times he touched it and 7 times overall. cuttino couldn't hit some shots and apparently missed some free throws (1 or 2?) in double OT. i wouldn't know b/c league pass thought that would be a good time to go out and make me miss 3/4 of the 2nd OT. we played in general fairly badly and when that happens, we've got a good chance to lose, especially since the raptors can't seem to score 60 on the road but are undefeated at home i believe. we'll live. hell, we'll probably lose to philly tomorrow, but we'll still live. we're not going to play 82 perfect games, the other team is trying just as hard to keep us from doing it as we're trying to do it. sometimes it doesn't work out.

Well, we're in the middle of a brutal road stretch. It's a dissappointing loss, but the Rockets never said die. The team seemed kind of fried. The only thing for them to do is rest as much as they can until tomorrow and come back with a renewed focus. There are worse things than battling to a double overtime loss; I hope we can see some extra determination the next game.

I was screaming at the TV both times I saw that. Steve's been a pretty good perimeter player during his career, but this year, I just haven't seen enough drives from him. Actually, that seems to be a teamwide problem. We settle for jumpshots way too often.

11 Assists. LOL. This team doesn't know how to pass or create plays for their teammates. Yes we're DESPARATELY in need of a PURE PG! Stevie became the Iverson tonight but even when AI shots badly, he still end up with 6 assists like Vince Carter with 9 assists. If you can't shoot or score, then help distribute the ball and make/help your teammates score. There are other ways to help a team win instead of just scoring. Stevie didn't try to do that tonight but try to redeem himself after a horrible shooting. He thought he's going to have another night like he did against the Nets. Man, until Stevie changes for the better then there won't be this issue keep on getting made but he keeps on burning himself trying to do it alone.

Am I blaming Steve for the loss tonight? Well I'm not impress with his playing tonight that for sure.

People think blame the whole team for the lost which totally unfair. Some did pretty well and only makes some mistakes but some totally mess up the rhythm of the team.

That's the answer I was looking for. I was waiting for Farhan to say everyone but Steve.

    TORONTO 101, HOUSTON 97 (2OT)
Box Score | Raptors Home | Rockets Home

TORONTO (Ticker) -- Rookie Chris Bosh's best game helped keep the Toronto Raptors unbeaten at home.

Bosh recorded season highs of 25 points and nine rebounds as the Raptors rallied for a 101-97 double-overtime victory over the Houston Raptors.

The fourth overall pick in the draft whom the Raptors hoped would be an immediate contributor, Bosh scored the game-tying points at the end of regulation and in the first overtime. The 6-11 forward scored nine of Toronto's last 11 points.

With Raptors star Vince Carter drawing the double-team, Bosh sank his first career 3-pointer to pull Toronto into an 83-83 tie with seven seconds remaining in the fourth quarter. The 19-year-old made a pair of free throws to forge an 89-89 tie with 38 seconds left in the first overtime.

Carter put the Raptors ahead for good, 92-91, with a free throw with 2:40 to go and Bosh hit four from the line in the final 24 seconds to seal the win.

Carter finished with 18 points and nine assists and Antonio Davis added 13 points for the Raptors, who returned from a winless three-game road trip to improve to 5-0 at the Air Canada Centre.

Steve Francis had 25 points and seven assists and Yao Ming added 20 and 12 rebounds. But the Rockets could not beat the Raptors for a fourth straight time.

    -----------------------------

couple things to note here, we played well on the last game time possesion, that was Bosh's first three. Second, impressed in how much faith the raps had in their rookie, especially during OT. Third, nba.com people gotta pick up the slack, seriously, i'll expect an enron accountant to make a typing error, but not sports reporters for the NBA. I wish he could get as many assists as he could rebounds, then we might have actually won.

We're 6-3, and we haven't been completely blown out yet (Dallas game was pretty close though). I guess if you look at it optimistically our losses really weren't that bad.

We lossed to the Grizzlies, but the Grizzlies are playing very well and beating the good teams while losing to the bad ones (hey, by this logic we're one of the good teams! :D )

We lossed to Dallas.... you really think this loss was a surprise? We match up horribly with them, and we still made a decent fight of it through much of the game. Not a bad loss.

And finally the Raps... they're undefeated at home and the Rox just played really really bad... BUT.. we took them to double ot and would've (maybe should've) beaten them if Bosh wasn't having such great night.

So fare we are still in good shape, we've beaten most of the teams we should've beaten, our D is still pretty good, and we have a good record in comparison with the other teams in our division. They just can't shoot right now, I'm sure things will change. So.. in conclusion.. stop b****ing, please! I'm on the verge of never coming back to this board after a loss, or even a win for that matter. The amount of whining and complaining is just insane. Please be kind to all Rockets fans and Clutch and the Clutch Crew and cut down on the insanity and repetition of arguements made around here.

I don't blame SF taking the last shot since he still IS our best player, but he HAS to go INSIDE!! With Raptors have no foul to give and we are only down by 1, jacking up a 3 is just the worst decision to make. Steve certainly still have a lot to learn, I hope JVG will beat some sense out of him tonight.

Right on. Since then, have they even been back to the conference final? AI is really not that good. The NBA wants him to succeed because he sells a lot of jerseys/shoes. Larry Brown can't stand him and even wanted to trade him away.

right  has nothing to do with the fact that Yao coughed it up every time he got the ball (7 TOs alone, that has to be close to a record).

I'm kinda pissed at JVG for this loss. I think a couple of those plays down the stretch should have gone to Yao. The two overtimes kind of reminded me of the 02/03 Rockets... the classic last-second shot by Francis from Yao at the top of the key, all the dribbling, and the iso plays for Francis and Mobley. Where is the ball movement? The inside-outside play?

I'm not talking Yao up any either. He has looked much slower and lethargic this season. But, it is no wonder he looks a little lost in the offense from time-to-time. I mean (really) how many times did he touch the ball in the 4th and two overtimes? Toronto's 18 year old is given more respect by his own team than Yao is.
