Yao had a terrific 3rd quarter, carried the rockets while T-Mac sat the whole time. Yao sat the first 4 minutes of the 4th Q, rockets didn't do jack and had already mentally collapsed. Yao came back at the 8 minute mark, no plays were run for him, Yao didn't do nothing until the 5 muinute mark. Where he finally had the ball for 2 freak'ing possessions. 2 TOs and like you said, one was questionable.

That's it !!!!! So how the hell did Yao kill the game ?!?!? And where does this "JVG should let T-Mac dominate instead of forcing the ball to Yao" crap come from ?!?!

    You are an idiot.

Yes, lets concentrate all of our collective efforts towards Juwan Howard and Rafer Alston!

The fallacy in your thinking: You assume that without those 2 first points the rest of the game would still proceed in exactly the same way. That's not realistic.

I don't expect it from him. Have you not been reading what I'm saying? I've been saying we should go in another direction late in games, because Yao hasn't shown he can carry the team in crunch time.

This is what you should/could say in the first place. Instead of "Yao killed the game". The plain fact is even Yao had the TO and missed attempts, he didn't kill the game. JVG did by overusing Yao in the 3rd quarter. Yao is a player, he can't refuse what his coach told him to do.

Guys, Detroit is a good team that's been together for years. Rockets are not even close to their level in terms of team play.

I hate to say it, but to me JVG has failed to make some critical adjustments.

Yeah, I looked at the boxscore and see a bunch of DNPs next to vspan, novak, bonzi et al, whilst Zboy's favorite black hole in the NBA, Jowan Howard stinks it up, along with Zboy's other favorite powderpuff Skip to the Loo.

Did we get vspan and novak as bench decorations? What about Bonzi? He can't be that out of shape, can he?!

At Yao's stamina problem, anyone can figure out Yao's minutes per first 3 quarters? compares to this season, maybe we can drop a conclusion.

But minutes won't tell too much.Intensity is the factor. That's why solid bunches(NOT bunch warmers) are very important,That's why play Wells isvery important.

Don't worry about them. Worry about the rockets. Gundy is the biggest problem. He needs to adjust.

No, I didnt see ROX collapsed. When YAO walked in, game was 83:85 and TMAC had two FT coming.

What do people expect Novak to do? It's not like we're getting a bunch of open looks and they just aren't dropping. Our offensive is such that we aren't even getting ourselves good open shots on the perimeter. So how would Novak help, when on the other end you know he'd be getting abused by Rasheed Wallace or anyone else he's guarding?

An out-of-shape Bonzi Wells would have possibly done a better job guarding Rasheed Wallace than Padgett/J-Hoe combo.

The irony here is that the longer Bonzi doesn't suit up for this team the longer it will take him to get in shape, the longer he will need to adjust to his teammates/role on the team, and the longer we waste until we get our complete roster on the court playing together, developing some chemistry, and seeing what different combinations work best with one another.

JVG is a stubborn SOB, and I am sick and tired of his arse...

Chunk could do much better job than JH3. Man, This team needs him back on the court

Agreed. Bonzi's omission from the game is the most glaring IMO. I can't imagine that he's going to be in the best state of mind if and when he does return, given that he's been held out of so many games already.

If we, as fans can see all this, why can't management and the coach? Why are they not doing anything about this? JVG's approach to his team is really unacceptable at this point.

Well, we are now 1-2 since Howard became our PF.

Sorry for that 1 game win.

I was out of shape. I am getting back into the flow though.

    Signed,
    Juwan Howard.

PS. know of any good sunglasses outlet here in Detroit? Preferably one without any camera. Peace out!
