There is virtually no excuse for this pathetic show.
Fouls don't go your way and opposing teams play much better at home and our players haven't lost whatever skills they have overnight. Most of the problems are due to lack of mental strength and poor execution which we are the worst at in the league.
I seriously doubt that the Rockets can turn anything around this year.

Yao is not happy. If I were Yao, it would be a cold day in hell before I'd sign with the Rockets after the rookie contract is over. Who wants to play for Van Gundy the drill sergeant? Rockets better deal with the situation before it reverts into a mess with Yao demanding out of this prison.

If anyone has followed what happened to Bill Calahan who got canned as the Raiders coach, I think that will happen with the Rockets eventually. There was a player mutiny in Oakland, and it ended with the coach getting canned.

I doubt that it will get as bad as it did in Oakland but if the Rox miss the playoffs, some MAJOR changes will definitely be in the works.

One of the worst games I can remember.... emotionally anyway.

I was getting to feel a little better recently, and they let me down big time tonight. It's like they set us up with a little winning just so the miserable games bring us down that much more.

I am starting to question everything:
    - Why doesn't JVG go to the bench... it can't get any worse. It was painfully obvious mid-third quarter that the team had given up.
    - What does it take to get a Rocket to hit the floor for a loose ball? I just never see any urgency. When we are down by 22 it would seem like we should start scrapping our way back rather than walk it up the court like we are dead.
    - Why don't players get benched when player and ball movement disappear COMPLETELY?
    - Rather than b****ing and moaning and sending tapes to Papa Stern, why doesn't JVG try using Yao differently. Isn't it obvious that he isn't making any progress whatsoever in the low post? If he can't get it done inside, take it outside!

Basically what I am saying is THE ROCKETS SHOULD BE DESPERATE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! AND THEY SHOULD ACT LIKE THEY ARE DESPERATE! That means taking desperate measures! I don't care how JVG thinks the GD game should be played.... I want some end results, not progress. I don't care how the end results are achieved. Short of that I want them to play DESPERATELY hard as they go down in massive ball of flames.

    1) Make Yao a jump shooter.
    2) Put in Wilks and tell him to run or he is going to be cut.
    3) Empty the bench until someone can hit a shot (before the game is beyond reasonable hope).
    4) Let Francis dribble occassionally if he can draw some fouls.
    5) Sign Bragges and tell him to mop the floor with himself if that's what it takes to get rebounds.

JVG... sell your soul buddy. I want to see something worth watching.

Can we trade for Darko? Larry Brown's not playing him anyway... The kid should be better than that big pansy who starts at center for us...

Give them Spoony and they may bite...

Yeah, I have lost my mind...

I think Rudy T is laughing like a hyena tonight. If he's tired from his chemo, it's gotta help. If Rudy T had only got this team to the playoffs last year, Rocket fans wouldn't be treated to this horrid style of basketball. If fans think it's bad to watch, imagine how the players feel.

If Darko can go up against Clarence Weatherspoon every night, Larry may make him a starter.....:D

At least we went 1-1 against Detroit this year. Last year, we went 0-2. It might have to do with Rick Carlisle's domination of the Rockets.

66 points...It's not that Detroit played execllent defense, it's that we don't have any offense. It's ugly to watch.

    Darko 6 points, Yao Ming 4 :D

Here's the scoop guys, you need to get Cato to beat Yao ming up in practice. He gets out-toughed every game, and It CANT be because he isnt big enough. Ben Wallace beating up on Darko day in and out in practice has really made him a much tougher and more aggressive player.

I think Yao isnt nearly as bad as he looked tonight, I just think you need to teach him a hard lesson about playign tough in the post in the NBA. Yao backs down too much.

He's being taught a hard lesson every night. Jerome James, Jeff Foster, Rasho Nesterovic, Dale Davis. It's not helping.

Who cares about Yao not happy... He got treated like a baby last year by Rudy and comp. I'm sure nobody on the team likes JVG
Les/CD better make some front offices changes Van Gundy has to change up his style. This team isnt responding to the harsh words by Gundy if i was Les i wouldnt trade anyone on this team. Hell i wouldnt even have traded Moochie at least he brought some happiness to this team..JVG looks like he can be anywhere on the planet than on the sidelines.... He looks like he isnt happy/ Francis/Yao/Mobley/don't look happy the only players who seems to like JVG is Cato/Mo/Jackson.. This is getting NASTY! I can't beleive we traded Moochie Norris (crowd favorite/cheerleader) for a FAT SHORT POWERFORWARD(who got dunked on twice within 3mins) Weatherspoon is horrible we should have just kept Norris we should have kept Eddie Griffin the guy was only 21 years old WOW!! I hope Griffin turns into an all-star(like RASHARD LEWIS) and I hope Moochie Norris becomes 6th man of the year...Man SCREW the ROCKET front office and LES/CD are HORRIBLE AT THERE JOB....!!! JVG GO 2 HELL:mad:

Anyone notice that the ROckets were atop the midwest and 8 or so games above 500 when Boki was playing and as soon as Pike came into the lineup he brought the Clippers losing curse to our team? ;)

Man, it is an extremely frustrating season so far, but I guess it can only get better. I think JVG deserves some of the blame however. He NEEDS to quit being so negative and lethargic. His NEGATIVITY is feeding into the team. Everytime you hear an interview with him, he is putting the team down. Get some character man.

Braggs got waived at that time, too, after Taylor came off the IR. With Boki and Braggs, the Rockets went 8-4. With Pike and Taylor, the Rockets went 11-11.
