Rockets win!!! If Utah can give the Pistons a game so can the Rockets. Besides keep the Pistons shooting jump shots and we can beat them. :D

Whoa, the pistons! Bring it on!

They're very balanced team with tons of firepower and very good D. They are the only team right now I consider Rockets' opponent for a championship show down.

The key to the game is keep Chauncey Billup bottled up. He is the soul of the Pistons, (kind of like Steve Nash to the suns). If we can somehow manage to disrupt Billup, and forced some bad shots and rebound well we could win.

I'm sure JVG is scratching his head right now how to match up with them.

    Rockets 78
    Pistons 77

If Hayes performs anywhere close to the way he performed against the Bulls, I am going nuts. Win or lose, I want to see if this guy is legit. Regardless, he is not the Rocket's messiah (a healthy TMac is, any doubts?), but excellent role play is exactly what TMac and Ming need. He seems to really have a nose for the ball. That and the fact that he elevates so quickly are excellent attributes. I also liked his postup moves to the rack. I thought he played fairly well on defense, even though he missed an assignment or two. I am really excited about this guy. The Pistons represent the ultimate test.

I'll have to admit it doesn't look good...the Rockets will need all their
collective mojo to bring down the mighty Pistons...none the less having
looked into my crystal ball I predict a Rockets win!.. :D

    Rocket...93
    Pistons...90

    P.S. Chuck Hayes for M.V.P.! :p

There was an update or somethign so we all had the problems. R2K has a post in there that tells you how to fix it.

    See you in Chat.

Without Yao, we have almost no chance of winning this game. Yesterday, everything went right and we barely beat a disappointing Bulls team. Unless the Pistons sleepwalk for 48 minutes, they should control this game from start to finish. I don't expect Tracy or JH to score 30. Chauncey and Rip will destroy whoever we put in the backcourt. Rafer will be streamrolled and Luther will get schooled.

Might as well win it since we're in it to win it.

Yes, the Rockets should lose big, but I have a funny feeling about this game. The Pistons are better at every position but one, they should be hugely overconfident. There is a chance, IF the team plays their best game of the year, aggressive defense and shoot with abandon.

Well this game could change everything if we win we turned the corner and Tmac is God. Ha not serious but if we lose we are back at mediocrity and our excuse will again be we are waiting for Yao, but should be a fun game Tmac will show why he is Tmac. Rockets win.

On paper, we don't stand a chance in hell. If we can keep it close, Tracy could work some of his magic. Still sticking with the good guys, Rox win 91-88.

Yeah, if we win this game, watch out as thousands of homers come flooding back onto the bandwagon... :)

If we lose, it doesn't really mean much. Everybody loses to the Pistons. Unless we get blown out (but then, even San Antonio got blown out twice by these guys, so there's not much to be made of that either).

I want to see how Hayes plays over his 10 day contract. He had a great game against the Bulls & will probably have less of an effect against the Pistons. Those of you that see the game, please comment on how he looked on such items as: hustle, court awareness & competiveness.

Actually Hayes showing up could not come at a better time for the Rockets. The Pistons kill you by dominating on the boards, but I get the feeling that between Hayes and Mutombo we shouldn't have too much trouble pulling down rebounds. It would be great for both those guys to come up with double digit figures in rebounding (or at least close to it), but they will have to hustle.

Hayes was impressive with his hustling for boards and his poise. Didn't play like a rookie most of the time (except for one mistake during overtime when he didn't rotate properly and gave up an easy dunk). His defense is good and apparently he even has some post-up ability.

after reading this thread i guess hope really does spring eternal: "well they've got us completely outmatched, they slaughter everybody, we lose to everybody, i don't see how we can do it... but if bowen can just hit some shots and john lucas III grabs all the rebounds, rockets by 5."

personally, i'm surprised the nba is even making us play the game.
