House contract value is too good to trade him, and you know much cheap Tillman loves value.

You would give a first round pick for a rental of a player.

First rounder can possibly be in your system or organization for 8 years or more. Expiring contract means they
go into free agency after a few months with you....good chance they test the market. Leave, because, well Tilman.

House the exception, but his contract is peanuts which by itself brings you back a player making about $3M as well.

Nwaba/Brown are expiring contracts, which means you take best offer or they join another team thru free agency
at season’s end. If the Rockets want to re-sign them, their agent kicks up the cost or price tag due to supply and demand.
Houston wants them then demand is there......raising price tag. Unless they give us a discount because they like
    Houston, coach Silas.

Oladipo, everyone knows he wants Miami, why would you go all cost 1st rounder for him?

I would like to retain Nwaba. I like Brown, but a mid 30's SRP in a deep draft would be a very good yield for him.

He can fly through the roof like Westbrook while at the same time being highly skilled with advanced dribble moves and footwork like young Harden. I'm really hoping his head gets right because that's just too much potential.

Who is Wall going to blame the shitty defense on, he has proved that he is a finger pointer.

House is the weak link in the switch everything defense, he is just really undisciplined.

    Even on offense.

    BMac is what he is.

EGo was crap too don't get me wrong, but EGo was not on the floor for entire 20 point deficit.

    Wall and Boogie were.

And no doubt EGo had a garbage game but he is having a great season overall.

Facts, House is not elite on defense. His attention to detail on defense hurt us for sure. I remember the first game of the season, all he had to do was pay attention to CJ "on fire" McCollum for the final seconds of the game, but he took his eyes off him and CJ hit a dagger on us. Fast forward to the Spurs game and he bit on Derozan head fake late in the fourth when we really need a stop.

And my biggest frustration is the unnecessary help where he sags off his man wayyyyyyyy too much and does not recover to the 3pt shooter on time.

    Of course he is.

It's okay because he really wants to be here.

A lot of blame to go around:

    EGo was -40
    House was -21
    Tate was -22
    Tucker was -24
    Wall was -15
    Cousins was -13
Nwaba was the only bright spot at +9 in 25 minutes.

On the flip side, because every coin has two sides:

    Zion was +29 with 20 points in 20 minutes.......was that Wall’s man?

Josh Hart was +19 with 20 points in 40 minutes off the bench (because he was killing Eric Gordon while getting 17 rebs. Was he Wall’s man? Eric Gordon may defend slower guys like Donovan Mitchell; but
I saw Hart eating Gordon’s lunch last night.

    Ingram was +11 with 22 points.......was he Wall’s man?

Lonzo Ball was Wall’s man........15 points at +14. Ok. He owns that.
    _______________
    Play-by-play at NBA.com
Wall played entire 3rd quarter......out of halftime 50 - 65 (15 point lead by the bad guys)

It was brought down to 11 points when Wall exited at end of 3rd. (81 - 92)

Wall returned at 6:31 left in the 4th quarter (exact same time as Lonzo Ball) score 94 - 106 (12 point lead by them).

So Zion x Ingram checks in at 5:58 left in the 4th quarter
Ingram checks back in shortly after for Alexander-Walker

From the time Wall checked in at 6:31 yes the players of Zion/Ingram/Hart/Ball went ballistic. But Wall doesn’t guard
all of them. Other players have to own up to it as well. They went crazy from 6:31 to 1:46 when they checked out.

What I’m saying is our second team is pretty good......but without Wood our first team is not as good
    as other teams 1st teams.

    Hart had 17 rebounds.

    That was on Boogie.

Rockets could not score enough NOR efficiently during that run.

    That was on Wall.

I saw Hart time and time blowing by Gordon. Dunking it home. Was it because Zion was on th block and Tucker/Tate/House/Cousins could not contain him......Others had to leave man as help defense. Yes.

But that’s why I say we won’t get by the Lakers. AD has that same Gravity of Defense effect. Everyone
eats as we attempt to defend AD by committee and Zion last night. He played 20 minutes because he
was kicking our @$$. Not so much in points but by allowing others to feast.

Tucker is too short and no vertical.

Tuck is a net negative today when he's ineffective defensively.

I've not seen him make a defensive impact in many games.
