Yeah it’s just preseason but in 2 games we’ve already seen more progress than in the past 2 years.

    My grades from 1-10:

Dillon 6, good defense, ok offense
Jabari 10, perfect game, could be the star player of the season, if continues like this
Alpie 6, still difficult to find his magical rhythm on offense, but great defense. Does get the ball somehow too far away from basket
Jalen 5, Ok game, doesn't seem to try 100% in preseason
Fred 4, didn't hit his threes, but pg play is ok
Amen 7, still unsecure with the ball, but showing unlimited potential and already ok defense
Jeff 4, quiet game, didn't do much
Jae'Saen 8, zero points, but great defense, moves well now, when seemingly healthy
Tari 6, ok game, still makes mistakes and turns the ball over
Reggie B 6, still rusty, but his defense seems very reliable
Aaron H 7, usable point guard and good shooter, goog addition
Cam 8, his physicality is so high that he can drive every time and the result seems to be good
Boban 9, Great game, he should be used more in every quarter, 3 min/stint
Jermaine S 8, good size and jumping ability, tries hard, could be a keeper at 3/4
Jeenathan 9, does good things, every time when sees the court
Trevor 7, ok game, potential limited for real NBA competion
Nate H 7, ok game, tries hard, probably not good enough to make the team
Darius D 7, ok game, probably not good enough to make the team

Overall great game, Pels big guys Zion and Jonas V weak games made it easy to win this one.

Maybe. But between fantasy football. Of course the Rockets. And watching soccer with my son (he is on the route to playing D1 in college) to up his IQ on the game. I spend already way too much time watching sports to watch something that is boring to me. I would rather watch hockey in general than baseball. Playoff (non 182 game) baseball can be the opposite of boring on the edge of your seat late inning stuff.

I would go higher on a lot of the grades just because the defense was so good. Part of zion and jonas having bad games was the way the Rockets played them.

That isn't going to work on a team full of sharpshooters like the Suns or Warriors.

If we can force where they'll throw the ball we can recover with our lengthy defenders. I tell my players we can recover better from a long pass 3 but not on a beat man to man defense.

We also push the tempo and this takes the shooter legs

No, that's not what you asked. What you said, verbatim, is "what did Cam do to lose minutes to Reggie Bullock?"

I responded that he didn't lose them. He never had them. Do I really need to explain that in great detail or are you good?

This is not a straw man, I am not misrepresenting your statement at all and certainly not as much as you are misrepresenting it by trying to rephrase it.

The nuance is lost on you. You cannot say that you appreciate the culture, improvement, etc. and also question a specific part of the rotation when the very answer is culture and improvement. The nuance that raw talent and actual gameplay are two different things eludes you, either purposefully which is silly or not purposefully, which is sad because I'm explaining it plainly.

You good with your L breh? You can dig this hole as deep as you like, I'm happy to measure it for you.

Jalen Green did not make any 3pt shot in the past 2 games.

What happened to his shooting? He even can't consistently make FTs. Dude seems losing confidence on shooting again.

He’s a rhythm guy, which is good and bad. Not sure he’ll ever be efficient. But Tmac wasn’t efficient either.

Sometimes when you add muscle in the off-season the added strength can cause your shot to be out of sync. Once he gets acclimated to his new power things will work themselves out.

    This is what you said.

“Maybe you should go directly to Udoka and tell him that you don't appreciate the veteran culture of defense, accountability and making the right plays that just crushed a division rival and that you enjoyed watching teenagers win 20 games a year. I bet he'll listen and start Cam immediately”

No where did I say that I didn’t appreciate veteran culture or accountability, making the right plays.

I didn’t say I enjoyed watching us win 20 games.

And I didn’t say I wanted Cam to start.

These are random arguments that you made up in your head.

    A strawman fallacy by definition.

&& I can appreciate the changes and growth of the team AND believe Cam has played well enough to get minutes over Reggie Bullock.

These things are not mutually exclusive.

But If you want this “W” you can have it lol.

It ain’t personal. I’ll see you in the next game thread!
