Last season, when we played the Pelicans, we were pushed around... a lot. Though we did win one game because Jabari bailed us out with a late 3, for the most part, we trailed. Their leads were often by 5 to 10 points after one quarter. In the two games Zion played, he did whatever he wanted. It wasn't as bad as the Denver games, but New Orleans seemed like an entire class ahead of us.

I'm curious to see what level of resistance the Udoka-led Rockets can offer. Can we take them out of anything that they might want to do? Can we match their physicality without resorting to stupid fouls? (yes, Dillon Brooks, I'm thinking of you).

How does Amen Thompson look against these guys? Can Jabari and Jalen get to their spots?

It occurred to me earlier that we dont know Ime's true reaction to Brooks's antic last game.
Suppose Ime's was really upset, maybe Dillon gets benched? Probably not.

Right now though, I dont have any kind of read on where Ime's threshold is for disciplining players and what form it will take when its breached.

Don’t see it being any different. What he said is absolutely correct. The fact that he told the public is very encouraging rather than bottle it up and pass it over as nothing

In any case, we dont know Ime's discipline threshold. But I am betting that wherever that line in the sand is, Dillon will be the first guy to breach it.

If he continues to with these antics we’ll see it soon enough.

Defense will get tested. Particularly the first half when their starters will play heavy minutes.

There's defending Zion himself, then defending his passing. Rockets defense should consider playing the passing lane and focus on Pel's 3pt line as Borrego is likely to explore Zion's gravity.

Pelicans by 35 with Zion on the bench eating a 50-piece family-size bucket of wings with an Instagram hooch on his lap by halftime.

Fight to Lose! errr... I mean, Light the Fuse! Wait ... LIFTOFF!

    Go Rockets!
