if you turned this game into a drinking game, you probably would have died.

    We were ****.

McHale needs to send a message and start a new lineup next game.

    Cannan
    Harden
    Brewer
    Smith(or Pap)
    DMO

and we desperately need a better backup Big.

I actually have fewer negative things to say about Dorsey lately than a number of the starters. So there's that.

Honestly our offense sucks because we are too easy to defend outside of Harden.

Dwight: Our second scorer, all you have to do is hack him if he gets close because he can't shoot free throws. Play as physical as you want on him and flop. No one wants to watch him shoot 15 free throws a game so the refs let it happen. Box him out so he doesn't get tip-ins and stay close so he doesn't get any easy alley-oops.

Ariza: Let him chuck. He can't take the ball to the hoop because he lost a step, some athleticism, and his handles are shaky. As long as you get a hand up and contest he won't make most of them.

Smith: Dare him to shoot from anywhere. Be physical with him at the rim because he can't shoot free throws. If the refs call it you can live with him maybe making 1.

Beverley: Stay tight on him. If he shoots get a hand up. Make him drive and play the passing lanes because he can't finish over taller defenders and bigs. He is not quick enough to get to the basket and get the easy 2.

Harden: When he gets the ball, everyone sag off your man a little and clog up the lane. The rest of the team can't shoot except for Beverley so this is easy to get away with. Do not reach at all. Double team him if he gets hot. If you need to foul him make sure he doesn't finish it. We can live with him dropping 20-30 points as long as we shut everyone else down which is easy. On the pick and roll, just cut off the roll man and stay in front of Harden. He rarely pulls up for two on the pick and roll making it much easier to cheat.

I will stop it there and leave the bench alone since our starting line up has been the major problem the last few games. D-Mo is one of the toughest guys to guard on our team after Harden imo. Teams won't be physical with him like Dwight because they don't want to put him on the line and he has some good post moves. He is also tall enough to easily pass to cutters if guys cheat off to double him.

Every team has bad games, the question is one of frequency. This game by itself may not mean much in the long run, but we've had other worrying games. We'll see how they respond tomorrow.

The lack of intensity, effort and the absence of any adjustments to the game plan has become pervasive, whenever the players feel pressurized.

McHale has not been able to motivate them, unlike when we were short handed. Accountability is a must, but that will not be enough.

Our star players are not inexperienced, by any means. They have to come up with solutions on their own, and fight hard till the end.

We are on the verge of a free fall, right now.

Maybe Dwight's most embarrassing play as a Rocket. I was stunned at how bad that was.

Howard knows - but they need to keep that stuff in house - you don't whine to the media - you make your point and you continue to make it until the players get the message.

I want to hear him say he personally played like ass. I wanted to hear Bev say he personally played like ass, instead of punting the interview. The only person I've heard taking personal, individual accountability lately is Harden.

That's because Howard has the mindset like he has already been there and done that as far as success but in reality he hasn't accomplished jack **** when it comes to championship. He thinks he can do what Tim Duncan does and then just show up/turn it on in the playoffs. He doesn't have his head in the right place to win. He needs to lead and knows he has to lead but doesn't really know how. Until he humbles himself and starts taking every moment on the court seriously he and this rockets team will continuously come up short.

This is the second time in 3 games he's mentioned guys pointing fingers when they screw up a play. Anybody seeing this (and who's doing it to whom, if so)?

I don't know who is pointing fingers at whom, it just seems that multiple guys are doing it. It's like one guy making a bad play, then the next guy gets upset at him and goes "If you are not going to try, neither am I" and the whole thing falls apart.
