If you want to shoot 40 3's per game logic would dictate that you should have some above average outside shooters.

    Ray Allen save us?

I have to wonder whether Howard's health issues are causing him to play in a way that looks lazy. Is it possible he's masking an issue that is worse than we've been led to believe?

I also wonder about Dwight, Ariza's and Josh Smith's confidence. It appears that all 3 have difficulty shaking off poor performances and it affects their hustle and effort on the defensive end. Very troubling.

Meanwhile, It is REALLY REALLY REALLY REALLY REALLY hard to be a fan of Houston professional sports teams.

    REALLY hard.

    Sigh...

Haha, good point... I like Bev, but he sure as hell wouldn't start on a Championship/even a good team.

This is starting to remind me of the Olajuwon/Barkley Rockets... in 97 everyone thought the Rockets were set after getting passed the Sonics (who swept us the year before), only to watch Stockton basically take it to Maloney... I think Bev is better than Maloney, but he just doesn't have that PG game the Rockets need. If Rockets would stop developing talent and getting rid of their top PG's we might be looking better. Heck if Morey went after Lowry instead of waiting for Melo this whole team would be different. We're so weak at PG, even when Bev is hitting shots it's still bad.

Ariza certainly has no problem continuing to jack up 3s. I wouldn't mind Dwight getting some of his touches (and Bev's, too) at this point.

    Morey is too overrated himself
He always expects to get best

Yeah, definitely agree, this time it really bit the Rockets in the ass.

He might be nursing that knee so that he'll be in the playoffs. I wouldn't be surprise if he rest a couple more games so that he could be ready for the playoffs. Lately he's been playing less minutes. I just hope that we start winning so we won't fall out of the playoffs. If he needs to rest he should do it soon.

This was embarrassing. I really wish TJ would get back soon to see what kind of mojo we could get back. Josh needs to come off the bench.

I'm starting to think that D12 and Mchale are the problem. I think a smarter coach would know how to best use him and get the best out of our offense.

I'm pretty sure McHale knows better than anyone that Dwight is not a dominant post player, given that McHale is one of the best low-post players to ever do it. I suspect that Morey & Co. made certain promises to Dwight as to how he would be used in order to lure him here. Nothing else makes sense (to me).

I didn't get to watch tonight's game. I was kind of shocked to see we got blown out by the Pelicans but nobody really played a ton of minutes. Now I'm reading the starters were benched? Why were they benched? Were they not playing defense?

Yeah, it has to be that. Also, D12's body is not right and he is not mentally able to cope when things don't go well. Heck, wouldn't be surprised if he is already wanting out of houston. However, he knows that how he handles himself here will seal his legacy.

There are times where he is open and doesn't get the ball. I hate seeing Howard being fed the ball when someone is heavily gaurding him because the guy is either going to flop or Howard is going to miss the shot. Howard attracts the double team and when we use him properly our players get better looks.

They were lolly gagging on offense, they were lollygagging on defense, you know what that made them?

    Lollygaggers !

The effort by the starters on both ends was terrible.

This game was so bad I walked out of my house at half-time. I haven't missed a minute all season and I could not finish watching this game. I can't remember the last Rockets game I missed, but yeah it was the worst thing I've seen from any NBA team in a very long time.

What a shocker. Embarrassing. Nothing really more to add other than I hope this is an isolated incident.

The Rockets are slipping in the standings. We are now 5th with the Clippers only .5 a ame behind ous. Our division record is 4-4.

Many posters keep saying let's wait this team is gonna win a chamionship. I will not be surprised if this team gets 8th seed with the way they have been playing.

The Clippers, Spurs, and Suns are 6-8. Then you have OKC and the Pelicans at 9 and 10.

If Howard wouldn't change his playing style, the team can't win
