Sure he is but the problems would remain the same. It's a lazy no defense team

The only justification I could think is that he's a tall target if no one else can get open

Better coaching might help the defense. Better coaching might help in other areas and mitigate the defensive issues to a degree. Who knows? Just because we have many problems doesn't mean we shouldn't even care to try to fix one of the problems.

So he should been the player who passed the ball from the borderline. But he wasn't. There was only 6 seconds left. So he wanted Howard to catch the ball and shoot 3????

Dwight shot 50% from 3 last year.

Golly Gee Beav - if the Rockets wanted Harden to get the ball, don't you think the Pacers knew that too?

Maybe they should have passed it to someone else, there is a reason most of the big shots are hit by role players...with names like Horry, Cassell, Elie, Paxson, Kerr.....

But nah, let's try to force feed it to a guy that the other team KNOWS we are going to - I mean forget putting in some players that can shoot and making a good tall passer like DMo inbounds the ball - let's just try to make a simple step cut to get Harden the ball and hope the other team doesn't notice.

    Horrible coaching.

This is why Rockets needs another all-star who can shoot the 3, not a center who is terrible at FTs. Every other team in the league knows Harden will get the ball in late game situations so they just have to deny him the ball and it's over for us. Imagine if we had Durant in that situation, either of them could take the shot.

Ariza is shooting 37%, Beverley 40%, Terry 36%, Beasley 50%.

    We have options.

Same old story JB costing this team yet another game. If he keeps Brewer and Dwight on the bench and keeps KJ and Clint in they win this game. That lineup was working really well

KJ was +19 during that stretch. His defense is really good.

Brewer? His defense ranks NBA worst...

We have a gunner from 3 point land Goldlilocks but he is rotting on the bench. yet we continue putting up 7/32 nights. Why not give him spot minutes and see if he can catch fire?

We constantly cry for good 3 point shooters and then either not play them or dump them like Troy D

This team is dumb and dumber from top (Maury) to the bottom (scrubby Dekker)

I don't know where to even begin with this season long travesty by BJ not playing KJ more often for positive momentum swings for the Rockets on the Defensive end

from that standpoint it's been shown Morey ball has no limits with the Rockets that's for sure.

This might be the worst JBB coached game yet! Once again the +/- says it all. Capela should be getting more minutes over Dwight (-15) and wow Beverley (-26) this guy needs to go just as much as Dwight does.

KJ was part of a huge rotation and was a +18 and only played 13 minutes?

Then of course Dwight being on the court at the end of the game when you need a 3. What else can you say?

You forgot the part where Harden was the problem.
