did yao have a choice to not pick up that 5th foul?

 

These refs suck.

 

we have to come up with some way for perimeter guys who just get blown by to start drawing the foul instead of letting yao. i mean you could see that 5th foul coming as soon as jones went by whoever that was. just reach out and take the foul so we can save yao. as it is, now he has to go back to the bench. and john barry seems to be the only guy who knows how to feed yao.

 

Using the best offensive weapon all the time is one componet of killer instinct.

 

And we need to drive and attack, not those stupid 18-footers,

T-mac's shooting is terrible. He should attack the basket more!

 

one of the few times this year where you can say that T-mac is trying to do so much and is hurting the team

Wow...this is what we call a collapse! We can't expect Wesley and Sura to win the game. McGrady will need to step it up and keep us around until Yao can come back in.

 

what about leave yao on the court even if he got his 5th?

let him foul out is still better than not let him play at all

 

I guess leading by 15 pts at end of 3rd is not safe

This has been said before and I agree 100%. The rockets have been playing well as of late without getting Yao enough touches but that is not the formula that is going to get us far into the playoffs. This game is a prime example... Too many times Yao should have gotten the ball to shoot or draw the defense but the freaking guards could not get it to him. Tmac is not getting the job done either because he should be driving and drawing fouls when he's having an off shooting night but instead he shoots jumpers all game long.

Get Yao the freaking ball and good things will happen when the opposing team is playing playoff intensity bball!!!!!

ofcourse as I'm typing this... yao turns it over although a foul should have been called.

 

the way the game is going right now..i'd rather conserve his last foul for a crucial moment in the game

 

WTF is T-Mac doing. Take it to the basket, they have ZERO shoot blockers in the paint.

 

As much as this team needs Yao to do well... this offense does nothing when Sura is either tired or out.

 

do not know why you need to drag yao in when you praise Sura

 

You know refs will call everything on Rockets in 4th quarter.

 

I'm not "praising" or "dragging" anybody.

Rockets offense with Sura, Yao, Tmac = great
Rockets offense with Sura, Yao = good
Rockets offense with Yao, Tmac = start of season (not so great)
Rockets offense with T-mac alone = awful.

 

anybody like JOneal here?

I always feel he is totally overrated.
