One more thing, Tmac seems very hesitated to pass Yao the ball, especially after Yao rolls to the basket, I don't know what's the reason. Maybe two many TOs because of that last time in Portland?

cuz yao cant catch the ball...and when he does..he gets fouled..but noone calls anything ..which results in a TO.

Haven't read all the posts so I'm not sure, but did anyone point out that Yao had 0 turnovers? 0! and 4 assists. He had an off game, but good to see he still picked up rebounds and assists and took care of the ball.

Another good win, my only concern is the Rockets seem to have no sense of urgeny until late in games. They coast and play at the tempo of the opposing team. Carl Landry was a man inside. The kid is going to be a really good NBA PF. Hats off to Morey for that pick.

Rox need to keep it going, and finish this road trip off 3-0. Absolutely no reason not too. I like what Adelman is doing with the rotation, he's really spreading the minutes around keeping fresh bodies out there. I won't pick on Rafer tonight because they won, but wow can somebody buy him a jumpshot?

Yao is the player of the month and he will have to struggle for a few games. This was what happened before. Hope he will recover tomorrow.

Or a one way ticket, at least to the bench? I know Brooks needs much more seasoning, but he runs the offense pretty well. He was also a pest on defense the few minutes he got.

you can't just based on FG% alone. You have to consider the shots that didn't go in beause of foul and the shots that simply didn't go in.

Yao was 12 shots for 17 points, T-mac was 19 shots for 19 points.
    That is (17/12) / (19/19) - 1 = 41% better!

If you can't do this simple math, go back to elementary school.

Blazers come back and beat the Knicks its because Blazers are good and played well down the stretch to beat a scrappy Knick team playing over their heads.

Rockets come back and beat the Pacers and its because the Pacers suck.

(not directed at you, thats how it seems to go around here)

I actually said that the knicks were being the aggressors and would win......and the lead that the knicks were letting go was due to Portland being a good team. This was in response to someone saying the knicks were choking by giving up a cushioned lead to Portland. I don't call that choking, portland is good.

Pacers do suck btw, but they are playing good trying to make up for not having oneil. This is the nba, so any win is not to be taken for graned......I know you did not direct that to me though.

Oh yeah, he really blew chunks with those 9 assists!

Why doesn't anyone else point out the obvious we won a game that probably going back as far as 96-97, at least 04-05 we don't win. Same with the @Seattle game.

You all bellyache because Y-Mac didn't do their usual dominating. How about this? They found a way to win in spite of lack of calls by the ref, and in spite of the Pacers ridiculous shooting from beyond the arc. Their bench in particular their young guns and specifically Carl Landry got it done!

This just in ... that's what good teams do! We're not there, yet IMO but, the Rockets ARE showing accidental signs of progress and potentially to showing the ability to once again contend for the playoffs.

BTW, give Rick Adelman some kudos, for crying out loud. He's finding a way to utilize Novak's skills and yet, minimize his defensive liabilities. He went with 2 rookies AGAIN down the stretch with the game in the balance. He showed confidence in Landry to make big plays in crunch time in the 4th. He's not afraid of juggling the lineup or, having rookies play significant minutes.

One more thing, we are winning games by more than one way. We're showing an ability to come back and win, to play defense and grind out a win, to be resilient enough to shrug off a come back attempt by the other team and WIN! Just thought I would point out those situations to Novices here on the board. Lay off on RA, the team is starting to respond to him and it's translating into wins finally! :D

These scenarios would never happen with a JVG team. Case in point last year both games with Indy we did not even score 80! Hello!

    Stop b*tching, people!

+/- doesn't mean much over the course of one game. Actually, I don't think it means much since statistically, to make it meaningful, you'd have to have every player with each possible combination of other players equally as anyone you compare him to.

And that's not possible to do - so from a statistical standpoint, it's not a clean metric.
