That's if his back doesn't give out again, it's not looking good.

To be honest, without Yao, Rockets is a lottery team. Clippers stopped their 6 game losing streak when they met Rockets. Pacers stopped their 4 home games losing streak.

    What do you think?

See this is too hard for you to understand. A necessary condition ("without him, we suck") is not the same as a sufficient condition ("with him we win").

    AGREE 100%

LUTHER SHOULD BE TRADED, no doubt about it. he lost the game. plain and simple, he blew the game. he f*cked up, and that's why we lost..

that's the mentality of a f***in ballhog. but too bad he is a scrub. he hit a lucky shot last season, he thought he is "clutch" as hell. that's why he didn't pass the ball to anybody or take a timeout. I just saw the replay, Battier was freakin Wide open.. but too bad the ballhoggin scrub Mr. Luther Head is too good to pass it. he wants to hit a game winner.

I would rather Tmac jack one up than Luther $hi% (that's his new name)

good loss by the Rockets. it proved to me that I am stupid. I admit, there's no way in hell we can hang around .500. the season is virtually over. I am sorry YOFs for being such a fool, Yao IS the whole team. we cant win to save our lives without Yao. plain and simple.

here's what I learned from this game: Luther needs to go to another team or to the NBDL. I dont care, I just dont want to see this guy again on this team.

but Novak was on the floor and open (somewhat). he's too sucky of a player to be used just as a decoy or decoration. a screen could have easily been set up for him.

McGrady isn't someone who should be coming off the bench. If Van Gundy wants to limit his minutes, he can still do that even with him in the starting lineup. As for him shooting 0-5 in the fourth quarter, on at least three of those shots, he got hit, but there was no call. It's dissapointing, but not entirely his fault.

We couldnt beat the oneal-less pacer, which is a pretty bad team IMO. Calm down. Like I said, the sooner you figure it out, the better it is for your mental health. Luther and company did their things. He cant turn a Ray Allen for you or JVG.

I honestly don't mind if the Rockets go to the lottery as this is "supposed" to be a great draft and it would be nice to get a 2nd star to develop around Yao. He is still young so all isn't lost if we don't win now. My only concern deals with his future health.

They just said T-Mac might not play tomorrow night.

I disagree. Head has been one of the Rockets most consistent players this season. He played poorly tonight, but has played well otherwise. I don't understand how people can place so much emphasis on a single game.

Poor inside game is the reason of loss. Tracy's penetration is not as sharp as two years ago and his 3-point shooting is almost gone. But Rockets have a solid defense and overall good 3-point shooting.

Can someone please explain, why in the world does Tracy McGrady jack up three point shots so early in the play? I mean the guy has 20 seconds left on the shot clock, why the hell does he pull up for a three instead of creating a play? this is one part of T-mac's game that i hate!

You don't leave a guy on the bench for 47 min and expect him to come in and make a shot. I would have let Rafer or Head take the shot.

Keep in mind that Tracy got hit on several of those drives, and no call was made. The refs let the Pacers get away with a lot during this game.

    calm down, man.

the positives were that Tracy looked like he's might be able play for a good stretch of games in the near future while Yao is recovering. Bonzi is still
"rounding" into shape. Snyder will be coming back soon, and Battier has stepped his overall game a notch. all is not lost, although this loss was unacceptable.

    now for the negatives...

It was a bad play. When you have a good penetrator, and 3 high percentage shooters (Luther, Novak, Battier) on the court, there's no excuse for getting such a poor shot. Why was Luther handed the ball in a conjested area? What was he supposed to do with it?

I didn't know if Yao watched this game at his home in Houston.
