Sorry the front page is so woefully behind ... the family has been moving since Thursday and we will finally be done with packing/moving/settling crap for a long time (this is our 6th move in 2+ years). Expect the site coverage to pick up a great deal after Thanksgiving and in to December.

    if tmac does not play:

    Yao: 25 pts, 13 rebs, 3 ast, 2 blk

    rest of team: 50 pts

    Rockets lose 82-75.

    if tmac plays:

    Yao: 19 pts, 9 rebs, 2 blk

    tmac: 25 pts, 14 rebs, 5 ast, 2 blk

    rest of team: 42 pts

    Rockets win 86-80.

    I'm a Pacer fan...

The Pacers have had trouble with Rafer Alston's quickness in the past, and Yao will face a Pacers frontcourt thinned by injury-- starting C Foster out, backups Pollard and David Harrison injry-prone and foul prone.

Jermaine O'Neal has logged more time at the 5 than typical, and that hurts his D since he's better defending PFs who slash , and he also gets more blocks defendng the 5. Yao could cause foul problems. Then again, if he guards Jermaine, Yao may be in foul trouble. Jermaine has fallen in love with facing up, putting the ball on the floor, and jump-hooking with either hand. This is much better for the Pacers than when he falls in love with his turnaround J.

The Pacers have been very inconsistent, witness the blowout loss to the Bobcats.

Should be a Pacers W, but they haven't shown the ability to play with anough fire to make home court advantage mean much.

Not sure who Artest guards. Normally he'd be locking down T-Mac.

A win or loss, I do not want to see DA on the Rockets. Please release him, get a winner, we may win a few more games. What a loser! I have not seen
such a player for long time.

Yao can not guard Jermaine, he is too quick for Yao. We need a win more than your guys. Hopefully we can get a W.

Let's start Swift and put him on O'neil. Howard has no chance guarding him. Should not have Yao guarding O'neil. We need him badly to score a lot of points in order to win.

Luther Head should start to provide some shooting to ease the pressure on Yao.

We could win if we play our cards right and everybody have a good game.

It would be absolutely idiotic and short-sighted if McGrady doesn't sit out not only this game, but for however long it will take to get his back in a better shape.

Here's what it comes down to in my mind: would you rather have a T-Mac that was on display against Detroit for ALL season-long, or would you rather have a maybe (hopefully) 70-80% T-Mac for 50 games or so?

I will take the latter everytime, and right now it just seems like the Rockets' staff/coaches are not thinking for the long-term, which will come back to bit them in the arse.

I second the Swift starting argument for this game, and I think we will need at least 30-35 minutes out there tonight against O'Neal, let's see what kind of one-on-one defender he can be.

Head should get more minutes, and I will continue to say that until it happens, because the guy has earned it; not asking that he starts, but just that he sees more minutes behind Wesley, while DA might be more suited for the 3-spot while McGrady can't play.

well here's how I see it.

if we don't have a healthy tmac, we gotta do something

sign someone or trade for someone to fill 1/10 of the void left by tmac

none of the guys that would take over for mcgrady would be able to do **** for us.

am I alone in thinking that we would need to trade for or sign someone if tmac has to sit out any length of games?
