    maybe we are this bad. we seriously lack toughness or guys willing to play defense. it's ok if you have defensive lapses b/c every team does. but there seems to be no light at the end of the tunnel b/c our best players suck defensively (brooks, martin, scola).

    budinger seems to contest shots well but they always hit it over him

    our defensive identity broke it's foot. the difference in our defense with yao in versus yao out has been huge over the years. throw in the fact that our effort to get some offense on the court by getting lesser defensive players has coincided with yao's absense (having yao would have covered for a lot of this) has made it doubly bad.

    I'm glad more people are thinking about this.

    The same thing happens game after game. You guys think the Rox are not trying to fix it? At some point you just realize that maybe the team is not good?

    The defensive problems were there last year, and with lineup changes they may have got worse.
