Obviously, but there is no likelihood of that happening,or even getting the other guys. I'm not proposing that we should go after them either.
Edit: Getting Murphy and Rush together is unlikely, getting Rush alone is possible.
Don't want to go after him.

Really? You should start a poll. Dorsey or Pops? I don't have the rights yet.

Conroy's a keeper. Tonight Temple looked the best I've seen him. Beck looked like he can play, but I don't think he's gonna beat out our drafted wings. Of all the players I've seen in preseason, I'd start the season with this fifteen-man roster:

    1 AB, KL, WC
    2 CB, JT, (TM)
    3 SB, TA
    4 LS, CL
5 DA, CH, PM, BC, (YM)

That means I'd have to dispose of Barry, Dorsey, Beck, Temple--am I missing anyone? Barry's had a nice long career. Dorsey's a disappointment, especially as hard as I was rooting for him. Beck never really got a fair shake; he could wind up torching us down the line, or not. Temple gives me a little heartburn to let go--he looked pretty good tonight, actually made some shots.

Oh, and one other thought: if TA doesn't start looking like an NBA player, I'd trade him or dump him for Maarty Leunen.

I might actually start a poll regarding that.

However, you should realise Dorsey has a guaranteed contract and Pops doesn't.

Yes, I realize this. However, I don't think Morey's a big Dorsey fan. Who Knows? Will see son enough.

I don't think Dorsey will be cut. The uncertain thing whether Pops can stay for the regular season. From what I saw in 4-5 preseason games, our bigs have big problems. They cannot stop the opponents if they don't foul. I can predict that at least one of bigs will be fouled out in most of regular season games. So, Pops might stay.

I didnt watch this game, saw the previous 4. If Dorsey was doing what Pops is now doing, the board would already be giddy with excitement instead of the current "its still just preseason" approach.. Pops has outplayed Dorsey. Its like Von Wafer to DJ Strawberry last year.

I'll probably be repeating this post in a later thread, but NO Dorsey cant just replace what Chuck Hayes does. And NO Pops cant just simply replace Landry, and we're seeing this

I think thats more due to the replacement refs than anything else. I never knew Brian Cook was such a foul machine from just watching today's game. If anything, Pops will stay because he is the best training camp invite more than because he is another 6fouls.

Best scenario: Brian Cook + Barry + Cash + future 2nd rounder for Antonio Daniels

yeah. I could well be wrong. And I'll be glad to be wrong since that means we'll get a nice underrated freeagent pick up from the bargain bin. Dorsey I still think has a better defensive game and better toughness than Pops, even though he might be a lesser finisher and transition player.

There's a lot of positive to sift out tonight: Chris Douglas-Roberts, playing in a different arena, almost doubled the output of Brandon Rush, playing similar minutes.

I may feel another bet coming on, now that Wince is out of New Jersey...

    CUT Dorsey?

The guy's got a guaranteed $800K or million coming to him this year, he ain't getting cut.

Included as a throw-in on a trade? Yes. Cut? No. Gonna make life suck for someone who shouldn't be cut? Yes.

I'm prayin for Morey Magic right now...we really need frontcourt height right now..someone who rebound, block out and throw baseball passes in order to trigger fast breaks.

I was thinking about trading for a big man such as Joel Prczybilla. But after watching Pops the last couple games, I feel that trading for a guy like that would be a waste of a trade. We'd have to move probably Battier or someone like that to get him. I don't see that upgrade being worth it at this point. I am going to be watching our rebounding +/- but if Hayes plays well and if Pops is effective, I think we are better served holding our expiring contracts and the rest of our talent in hopes of landing Stoudamire or Bosh at the deadline.
