Friedman's article makes it sound like Howard had a good game, but the box score says different. The play-by-play shows that Hibbert blocked Howard 3 times. Also, Howard didn't even get into double digits and he had 5 fouls. Can someone break it down to me what actually happened? Not sure if Friedman spelled it out accurately enough...

i really think Lin will be a good 6th man. Bev has done great today. and he flows with our starters better than lin.

I think lin can lead the second team

Huh? Since when does Manila want to see Lin? He's not Filipino why should we care any more about him than the other players?

Anyway, Bev looked great in the starting unit. Lin looked great in the 2nd unit. The conclusion should be fairly simple even for player only fans.

According to the boxscore of Houston Chronicles (NBA, ESPN and Yahoo haven't updated yet).

Lin ended up with 14 points, 7 rebounds and 6 assists.

Do you think he would have the same numbers if he was starting?

    Mahinmi is Hibbert's backup

Howard started off strong, but after the first quarter I thought Hibbert pretty much neutralized him.

Howard did make a few nice passes, and was actively defensively as usual. He looked rushed and out of control on his post up moves more than a few times against Hibbert.

it's not about playing bad or good, like already said by someone before.. Anyway, there will be a time when either lin or bev will be the finisher,or maybe they both can be together in the floor, it just depend on what team need...

You need def, you give it to pbev, you need a scorer and playmake, you give it to lin..

We already have enough scorer in the first unit, harden, parson and dwight, so to balance it, i really enjoy LIN at the bench role, rockets will have a balance power between starter and 2nd unit... i love lin, but it's all up to mchale...

Majority of the calls were ticky tacks against Dwight, he also missed ac ouple experimental banking shots, but he pretty much shut off the bigger Hibbert and also dimed to cutting Parsons on a couple occasions, he looked solid, Hibbert had no answer for his faceup drive.

Anyone with a link to the final score and final stat lines? Yahoo, NBA, ESPN, none of the major sites have final scores. Still displays 74-61 in the 3Q.

If Houston is the armpit of America, then SF Bay Area is the stretched butthole of America. Douche.

Lin is here to stay. Wish Clutch would ban guys like you for ruining the GARM.

I sincerely hope nobody average 35+ in regular season games. Playoff is the war zone. And between Lin playing 35+ mins and rockets winning, of course I will chose the latter, so will Lin. I trust team management, after all they have done to put this team together, i am sure they would make better decision than any of us regarding game plays.

Dmo surely is a fast learner. I saw lots of what hakeem taught him in the game. Howard meanwhile is running his game on pure instinct, while effective if he incorporates the low post moves the dream taught him he could still be better

McHale just wanted to show them all that if Lin plays the PG ball movement will be better, less stickiness, and let them trust Lin

And he'll average 30 this year. Karolik doesn't know what he's talking about.
