Also, with players ganging up on Gasol and Dirk, who would have guarded the late Jason Terry?

Sounds a bit to RAWKish to me. Harden getting trolled by some defensive specialists having career highs in the play-offs would probably do the trick.

Marc Gasol is not and will never be close to a superstar, he will never be as good as his brother was, and his brother was never quite a superstar. He's a 14/8 player whose peak is maybe 18/9 if things go well.

I truly believe that if this wasn't a b2b, Rockets would have won this game. Everyone was just so gassed out and had no energy on defense when the game began. Lin was so much slower, and Harden just could get any baskets. This game tells us that we need Harden to score if we want to win games like this one. I am a huge Lin fan, but when Harden doesn't play well, we're in trouble.

Ouch, what a terrible game last night, especially from Harden and Asik. For some reason we just cant beat the Nuggets. We turn the ball over too much, take bad shots, get out the flow of our offense and stinks it up big time on defense.

I disagree, reason being Harden has had more monster games against top upper echelon teams. Dont believe me go back n research. Its just Denver quickness as well as Iggy shut him down. Harden has to find other way to contributing when facing this team.

Not sure if the game would have been won, but it'd definitely be closer. Lin may have been "slower" this game, but he did his job. Unfortunately no one else did theirs. Teams need consistency and we're seeing more of that from Lin, but it's almost not existent for the big guys.

Rockets lost this one because they allowed 132 on defense, not because they scored only 114. When you have scores like that the reaction should be what can they do better on defense and not how can they score more. Scoring 114 is enough to win you plenty of games, but not when your defense allow 132.

When Pau Gasol was with the Grizz, he was a Superstar. He was a 20-9.8(10 rounded off) guy,,,,Marc has not averaged 20-10 in a year yet, so how does that make him better. In LA Pau best years he was averaging 18-10 winning two chips.......lol so please explain to me how Marc is better again.

Hard to play elite defense on the 2nd night of a back to back at 2 miles altitude.

Someone on Dreamshake just mentioned this, but have we seriously had 20 B2B games? Damn the league really screwed us over good.

You do know that this season was a trial and error season right. Nobody in their right mind shouldnt expect them to go far anyways. There are many variables to that notion.
    1. This team was just put together. Harden was traded right after the pre-season. We picked up Lin, Asik, Delfino and a few others during the off season.
    2. We only have two returning players from the previous season, Parson and Smith.
    3. Bold trade by Morey at the trade dead line right before the all star break , sending your PF and his back up along with a rotational PG.
    4.Young and inexperienced

Now on McHale defensive assignments,,,,,he is dealing with a very young inexperienced team. Its going to take more than a season for him to get these guys were they need to be defensively..That is why they are trying to out score their opponents.

Agreed we cant play this style against the Nuggets..lol why because we are playing into their strength. Them jokers are a better us.....

I hate to sound like i'm hating on Harden but some of the big momentum swinging plays came from him chucking up long shots that rebounded deep and led to fast breaks the other way and demoralizing dunks by Faried. Harden needs to trust the team when his shots are not falling and focus on defense. He obviously can play defense if he chooses. This game would not have been won with him scoring more. It would have been won if they limited the fast breaks and the dagger three pointers by Brewer and Chandler.

Have you just started watching Rockets recently??

Rockets is one of the worst teams against top teams. Hell, NOH has a better record against top teams.

Rockets record against Heat, Pacers, Spurs, OKC, Nuggets, Clippers, and Grizzlies are something like 3-18.

Monster nights? Harden clearly had problems going against the best perimeter defenders.

Here are his stats against them:

    Igoudala 21/55
    Allen 16/40
    Sefolosha 23/52
    George 11/43

    Total: 71/190 or 37.2%

Please do a little more research youself next time!

What makes you think harden wont get those calls in the playoff's..He was getting them last season in the playoff's... And joker he is the #1 dawg in Houston. That is why he was brought here and he has done a pretty good job as well...
And why you clowns always bring up the Finals..How about before the darn finals..Why were they in the finals...Oh better how did LBJ do in his 1st Finals appearance. Shidddd I remember Kobe shooting air balls when he 1st made it to the playoff's..MJ couldnt get past the Bad Boys Pistons..Do I need to go on..Geeeeeeshhh lol
