I am just amazed how many people here said Rox will have a better future than Griz. with current roster.

I mean, Jason Will still makes bonehead plays and take bad shots occasionally, but at least he has a decent AST / TO ratio. Look our starting PG's ratio. Just horrible, 6 TOs and 6 AST tonight. To make it worse, he can't shoot right now. Another 3-9 33% shooting night with no sign of confidence at all.

No bench depth, perhaps worst PF spot in the west. No consistent outside shooting and franchise C is still 1 or 2 years away from a finished product.

Look at Griz.'s stride for this season, man , you just a lucky lucky guy.

but also yes, I'll finally admit memphis owns us this season and has a very good team that knows what in the **** they are doing unlike ours

eh, im still not worried. as much as i want to watch the rockets play in the playoffs, i think we've shown that we are still not mentally ready to do much. We have very few strengths, what we rely on is our opponents weaknesses. our team still needs tweaking, and yao needs to start being consistent, no more big guy one night and weak guy the second. and steve...well... don't go the route of eddie griffin. We will make the playoffs, don't worry about it.

 

Ughhh.... This week sucked for the Rockets!!

I hope the losses didn't set us back so far that people are starting to rethink pre-ordering Playoff tickets!!

 

I know, I guess me viewing this game has harmed my brain in ways worse than I had thought.

 

Just one bad game against Shaq yesterday, those guys started refusing pass the ball to Ming. In the first half and third quater they shot those bad jump and ignore their center. I do not know whether its JVG's idea or they just played their own game. No defence and no pass to their best player. If they continue play like that, they will lose at least 8 of their rest games. Even they make the playoff , this team need big change, most players in the team have to be traded.

 

Yao is horrible with help defense.

How many times is he leaving his man to try to help only to have his man score an easy bucket.

One second on the Shot clock and he doubles BEFORE the entry pass giving up a layup...disgraceful.

Francis defense is BRUTAL, he is officially Dre's biotch.

Steve could not guard a corpse off the dribble, his lateral movement is crap, and his confidence is non existant.

Hey Steve, if you not going to be a factor...grab some pine bub !


I still think the makeup of this team is all wrong....we don't have any energy guys or people like Denver's Barry, or Boykins who bring a whole new look to the game. All of our role players are old and experienced (IE Slow and pathetic). Why can't we get some veterans that are in their 5-8th years instead of 12+ years?

Also, turnovers...turnovers...turnovers.....that is just ridiculous, this team needs a brain transplant because Forest Gump would automatically be the smartest guard on the Rockets if he would suite up.

In an ideal world, I wish Yao could touch the ball 40+ times, and shoot at least half of them. So bad Rockets just show me what the reality is tonight. Sigh!

At the rate we're playing, we're going to pull a "Milwaukee 2002". I wonder if the Jazz beat the Spurs for the first time since Feb 2000??

 

We lost because Ewing didn't play.

In an ideal world, Yao wouldn't let Marcus Camby or Michael Doleac get 20 or so wide open shots. What's more confusing is that the defensive strategy never changed, and they just assumed these guys would start missing?

Yao got plenty of touches tonight, and was very effective... but once again, our offense didn't let us down tonight.

Our defense did.

 

I just feel the pain, plain pain. I don't want to watch sunday's game, another slaughter.

 

If Yao just stayed with his own man, like what Shaq did last night against him, Camby and Doleac would have not score more than 20 together! It is our team defence strategy that make Yao like a fool on D. I know there were a few times that Yao lost his man when helping, however, where is the help from his teammate?

As for yao's touch, do you think 23 pts was enough for him? He was so aggresive tonight that given enough touches he would have made 35+pts with a FG at 60+% and fouled Camby out!

If our team happens to lose their defence, as tonight, they should run better offence than opponents. And Yao is the most efficient component in our offence system.
