people can tell him things all he wants...it just depends on the actions/reactions he has to what people tell him. if you think yao is hardheaded or don't listen, you should look at the other rockets as well. i got yao's weaknesses down pat:

    1. upper body strength--arms need to be stronger. he loses the ball on offense and can't rebound effectively on the defensive side

    2. rebounding--needs to learn and start to believe that there are other 7 footers on the court in the NBA and volleying the ball won't work

    3. get positioning on the offensive side--he gets pushed around TOO easily by players much smaller than him

Not really. But if you want some consolation... He'll be torturing himself more than we will.

I don't see how someone can enjoy a loss like that after knowing you're supposed to win the game. I rather have a blow-out loss than a close loss, especially a loss that you know if u don't do stupid things, you would have won it EASILY!!!!

Wilks needs to first gain 30 lb and then lose them all to win JVG's loyalty and playing time.

I kind of like norris in the game to be honest. He sucks so bad that it is so convienent to blame him. And you can never go wrong bashing him. So I just started to blame him for everything.
Sometimes, I watch other teams play, and someone makes a bad play.. I just say "damn mooch". Or When I drop something.. "damnmooch, you suck..."
or have a bad day... "trade mooch.. dammit"

if they bring in wilks.. what if he plays well?
The rox needs to keep mooch in there.

The Rox just have to learn how to "hold off" those type of games.
It's up to them. They did it with the Lakers. But not the NUGS.

I thought once Francis turned the corner, he had a pull up ft line J. The last shot asn't a good one at all.

but you know that if steve did shoot that jumper and missed, ppl would still be complaining.
"why did he shoot it?!? there were like 10 guys on him!" "why didn't he pass it?!?! *insert player's name* was open!! how selfish could he get!!!"

    what a gay loss :(

The problem is that he HAS to volleyball the ball because he can't jump quicker than his oppoents. But his hands are fast enough (or already up there near the ball).

So, he has two choices: 1) Either "volleyball" the ball. 2) Or try and jump toward the ball with both hands. The later he looses MOST OF THE TIME.

Yeah it is. It means we missed out on 19 offensive possessions. Considering we shoot 42.5% as a team for the season that means we lost out on (even if assuming we don't get any offensive boards):

    19*2*0.425 = 16.15 points

We shot 49.3% from the field tonight:

    19*2*0.493 = 18.734 points

    That is huge.

Seems like we played pretty well for the most part - outside of defense on Carmello and the massive amounts of turnovers... again.

These are the kinds of losses that hurt the most. Sucked so much of the joy out of yesterday's victory.

It was defintley a tough loss, a few mental mistakes cost them dearly. But you gotta look at the big picture, the offense has been very efficent the last 2 games, and the Rockets are starting to trust each other. These are 2 games that nobody thought the Rockets had a chance in, they won one and were in position to win again tonight. If we see offense similar to the past 2 nights than its going to be a great season, thats all im saying.

Tonights loss sucked, but I think theyre learning. Think positive :)

UGH! What a heartbreaker, the mental mistakes down the strech are ridiculous, I guess that's the reason the Rockets have been in the lottery for the past four seasons.

Moochie has his contract keeping him on this team. If Wilks gains 30 lbs he'll be cut right away.

I watched the very beginning. We were looking fine..great actually..it was like 10-0. And then I watch the ending..close...sloppy...so many mistakes..stupid fouls...darn. Mobley that was the worst foul ever. :( We should have won. disappointing..at least we beat the Lakers yesterday. :) :( Carmelo just went crazy

We have problems with mismatches against skillful athletic players like Melo,Kirilenko etc and unfortunately we can't correct that but these repeated mental mistakes down the stretch happen all the time because of a severe lack of veteran help.
I just don't know what the Rockets can do about it. I'm afraid unless this is corrected we are going to keep on losing every single close game.
