ClutchFans Game Thread: Rockets @ Nuggets 12/23/2005

I honestly don't see how the Rockets could pull this one out. Even if Tracy goes for 40+ in won't matter. We'll have no inside presence at all, so what's to stop the Nuggets from scoring at will in the paint?

I'm pretty sure Camby is healthy again, and if so, we will see the guy who SHOULD start in the All Star game torch Stro or whoever the Rockets try to get to stop him. Let's just hope this game doesn't turn too ugly.

if wesley, head, jho must knock down those open jumpers that tmac gives them.
if wesley and especially head made half of thier shots last night(they combined for 12-28 shooting) tmac would have 16+ assists. if these will be the scenario for the rox with yao out, tmac doesnt need to score 30+ each game(well only if he really needs to) tmac will just need 12+ assists/game...

 

any update on barry, anderson, deke, alston....

 

I guess everyone gets to see if T-Mac can carry the team like everyon said he could when he was down and Yao couldnt.

I look for another good game for Head
If either Wesley or Swift can get close to 20 we can compete.

In all reality swift will probably get into early foul trouble and we will have to go even smaller. I look forward to seeing what graham can do for us.

 

For this team to win, TMac needs to score AND assist. It's very tough. But it's reality. Even in Suns, with those shooters around, Nash averages 11 assists a game, but if he doesn't score, they lose. Same thing for the Nets. Nash doesn't need to score 30+, but definitely around 15. I don't think our other players can score on par with the Suns minus Nash. In other words, TMac has to be 25+ in scoring and 10 in assists, and other players have to play solid, for us to have a chance to win. That's the reality.

unless mac can score 50, i see rox getting killed. denver's too big inside.

 

This ia a two superstar team.Take one of those away and we are going to struggle.
Stro's got to be able to play better than he is.Just doesnt make since that he seems to not even care sometimes.

Expect T-Mac's scoring production to diminish while Yao is out. T-Mac was good for 4 baskets a game coming off of a Yao screen, he won't get those wide open looks while Yao is out. Teams will also smother T-Mac with double and triple teams at the beginning of games and only adjust their defenses for the hot shooter if there is one. I see us losing every game until at least Deke comes back. When we get Deke, DA and JB back we at least have a chance to be competitive.

 

I apologize for writing the Lord's Prayer, one should not make light of such things, and I have deleted it, but prayer is what the Rockets need.

 

All Rockets starter scores in double figures. T-Mac take over at the end to give us a win.

BTW, Tracy will score 45 points.

 

Yao set very good picks and T-Mac usually capitalize on it.

 

The only chance is Denver sucks itself like when Lakers play with us.
