For those jokers who like to kiss Kobe's a$$ please go to lakers forum.

Kobe scored 62 a game against Allas these jokers sounded like he scored 62points against Pistons/Spurs. Everyone has an on/off night, T-mac can easily score 60points when he is on!! KOBE WANKER!

I think alot of people underestimates the presence of Yao. Yao is the anchor of the whole Rockets' defense. He change numerous shots and looks while on court which wont show on the stats sheet. Early in the season when Tmac is out and players like Wesley/DA/Alston can hit a single shots and Head is not given chance, rockets still managed to stay close all games against teams like Heat/Spurs/Pistons/Mavs is mainly due to the defense. Plus, Yao's backup Deke is a Defensive specialist as well.

Rockets won over Lakers mainly due to Deke's defense and one hot shooting quarter. Now without both Yao and Deke, JVG's pride defensive scheme simply does exists, plus the fact T-mac has been strugglin against double/triple teamed whole game, the result? BLOW-OUT LOSS!!!

Some of you guys are really harsh on our franchise player who

    1. is playing hurt
    2. is playing with a team of scrubs who will not even get off the bench for other teams.

For the love of hakeem please cut T-Mac some slack. Some people go overboard with their Yao bashing and now I am seeing the same sentiments building against T-Mac.

No superstar can carry this current team to consistent victory. You can put Hakeem or Jordan or Wilt into this lineup in place of T-Mac and we probably sitll would lose just as many games.

Very refreshing read, Rockets111. I applaud you for not sugar-coating anything and telling it the way it really was. I am very dissapointed in our effort the past 3 games. (Yes, even the Lakers game. We won it, but only by a last ditch "miracle shot" by McGrady). The Lakers couldn't buy a bucket, and we clearly lucked out they were worse than us that night and we barely won by 2 points.

Tonight, I witnesses no heart or passion whatsoever, and felt like we laid down and quit - plain and simple. When the going got tough, we crawled into a fetal position and prayed that were were on the team plane headed back to Houston. The Rockets played like a bunch of Pilsbury Dough Boys running around like moths circling a porch light, while the Nuggets completely destroyed us and picked us apart like a soggy paper sack.

It's Time to start over. even if DA ,Barry, Alston and deke all comeback, were still not good enough to win a championship. lets start rebuilding with younger players. trade Swift for a hugh draft pick. let barry and deke walk. DA, is only 30 so keep him. Wesely is out of contact, so let him walk. go after yonger players. quick fix is sadly not the Solution.

I cover the Rockets for 2 other sites and provide game recaps here since this is pretty much the official Rockets team site lol...it's actually one of my poorer recaps because I was rushed since I spent most of the night watching the game at a friend's and didnt write it up till I got home at 11...

    Thanks Blazer. :)

It is nice to see some rational fans like you who are looking out for the long term success of this team and not go insane with "quick fix" solutions every time we lose a game.

By now everyone should understand that the Rockets are built on individual players, namely Tmac & Yao. When one of them is out, we will have a tough time to win ball games since the opponent can shut down the other option.

Most NBA teams are built around one or two star players, but quite a few of them do have a system which can function with any players, so when the star player is out, they can still play as a team. Unfortunately, the Rockets team is not one of those teams, especially with a coach who proclaim "A team with TMac should always be able to stay in the game. When you stay in the game, you have a chance." How could he freaking forget about the Magic team with TMac? Even that team had more offense than the current Rockets!

Maybe he writes them so that out of towners like me can get a game recap outside of the daily papers. As long as Clutch is too busy to do it, I'm grateful for them. Thanks, 111.

Guttung the team would mean another 2 or 3 seasons until the rocks can contend again. T-mac will be too old.

Giving up Head & Wesley/Swift for Artest wouldn't be a bad trade for Houston. It would mean Rybo would be back coming off the bench where he can be very effective. Rybo play scrub minutes behind Deke is doable. It worked last season.

Indiana would probably consider Head but can you in all seriousness actually believe that they (or any other NBA team for that matter) would trade a guy with Artest's game for 2 doorknobs like Swift & Wesley?

However, the more I watch this "team", the more I feel that you may be right about starting over from scratch. The only problem I see with this approach besides the fact that we basically will flush away 2 more years of TMac's & Yao's careers, is that unless we get rid of CD & the rest of those in the organization who actually thought they had put together a legit NBA team, we will wind up right back from where we started. It's way past time for a complete housecleaning from top to bottom in the franchise.

You guys are ridiculous talking about starting from scratch. The only thing that has happened here is our weakness has been exposed in that our supporting cast is not good enough. It's actually a good thing that it has happened now instead of playoff time.

It's obvious we don't have that 3rd go to guy and we've got to bring him in, whoever he is. I think CD will get it done. We do have assets. We have expirings and a players with potential. And there happens to be some good talent that is on the trading block.

Besides that, we really aren't as bad as we appear right now. Remember, we've got 6 guys out, not just Yao. That is 5 other players that we are getting nothing out of that we were counting on for production. And we are having to play our 9-12 players because of it. Take Jermaine O'neal and surround him with Eddie Gill, David Harrison, Samaki Walker, Scot Pollard, and Fred Jones and see how many games Indy wins.

It's just obvious to me that we've got to make a trade to bring in an upgrade offensive talent.....and we've got to get a true point guard on the floor. I think we desparately need Rafer right now to initiate the offense since TMac is being doubled. Our problems are compounded because TMac is the initiator and they are doubling him at the top. Therefore, when he passes out, he is actually removed from the offense.

We've got to make some moves.

Beyond Ming, TMac, and the potential of Head, this team is low on talent, even NBA role player talent. Swift was touted as a talent, nope. The Rockets have an abysmal history in the draft, a horrible record of ridiculous overinflated contracts, and a near r****ded status in regard to personnel appraisal in general. You are correct, even with all players back healthy this team is still not a contender. CD is a personable, friendly, nice guy, but it is time for a fresh face at his position. Some Houdini type player moves are needed or a great opportunity to ride the Ming/TMac combo to a championship will be lost.

I am a huge TMac fan and have been since his Raptor days, BUT, since Ming left, he looks like he has given up. He should not have compared his fellow players to the old Orlando team, that was a bad PR move on his part. The team looks like they know they are going to lose. By the time this team is back on the court with all the injured players well, it will still take weeks or months for them to play into game shape and jell. This is a "sports disappointment" of "Texans" magnitude.
