Man, Artest is near Chuck Hayes level of shot-making ability.

The truth of the matter is this team needs all three of its biggest stars because of the liability of Yao and Artest. Lets analyze this carefully. Yao, as great as he is offensively, cannot create his own shot and is purely a post-up player. This is fine because if you have Yao, you pound it in the post - you aren't expecting him to do much more.

Now, everyone earlier was saying that we would be fine if we had either Artest or Tmac in the lineup because, at the very least, we would still have two superstars. Despite Artest's poor shooting %, it'll come up. However, Artest does not create his own shot very well, and often just powers his way into the paint - he lacks finesse. This would be fine assuming Tmac is on the floor.

Lastly, Tmac, when healthy and not limping around, is the most versatile player of the three. He can create, distribute, and score. So, with that being said, having Yao and Artest will not lead us to another miracle 22 game win streak but substituting Tmac into one of those (e.g., Yao and Tmac, or Artest and Tmac) would be fine I think.

Ron Artest is a terrible shooter. and it seems RA has given him the green light to shoot any time.
